<br /> 16.18 Liceases and Certificates <br /> Employees who are required by State or Federal agencies, or by job description, to be <br /> licensed or certificated shall be reimbursed for the fees for such license or certificate, <br /> including other DMV licenses above Class "C" required by the Department of Motor <br /> Vehicles. <br /> 16.19 Vacations <br /> 16.19.1 All regular full-time management unit employees who have worked for the City <br /> six (6) months or more shall be entitled to vacation leave. <br /> 16.19.2 The time during the calendar year at which an employee shall take vacation shall <br /> be detennined by the department head with due regard to the wishes of the <br /> employee and with particular regard to the needs of the service. During the <br /> period from March 1 through April 15 of each calendar year, all employees <br /> shall, on a fonn provided by the City, indicate their preferences for vacation <br /> periods. Preference of vacation date shall be given to employees according to <br /> their length of service in as reasonable manner as possible. Each department <br /> will post a final vacation schedule by April 30 of each year. <br /> 16.19.3 Full-time employees shall be entitled to annual vacation leave as follows: <br /> Upon date of hire through the fourth year of service, workers shall accrue <br /> vacation at a rate (3.077 hours per pay period) that yields 80 hours of vacation <br /> per year. The fifth through the ninth year of service, workers will accrue <br /> vacation at a rate (4.615 hours per pay period) that yields 120 hours of vacation <br /> per year. The tenth through the sixteenth year of service, workers will accrue <br /> vacation at a rate (6.154 hours per pay period) that yields 160 hours of vacation <br /> per year. The seventeenth through the nineteenth year of service, workers will <br /> accrue vacation at a rate (6.923 hours per pay period) that yields 180 hours of <br /> vacation per year. The twentieth and subsequent years of service, workers shall <br /> accrue vacation at a rate (7.692 hours per pay period) that yields 200 hours of <br /> vacation per year. <br /> Battalion Chiefs assigned to twenty-four (24) hour duty shifts shall be entitled <br /> to annual vacation leave as follows: <br /> Upon date of hire through the fourth year of service, workers shall accrue <br /> vacation at a rate (4.615 hours per pay period) that yields 120 hours of vacation <br /> per year. The fifth through the ninth year of service, workers will accrue <br /> vacation at a rate (7.385 hours per pay period) that yields 192 hours of vacation <br /> per year. The tenth through the sixteenth year of service, workers will accrue <br /> vacation at a rate (8.615 hours per pay period) that yields 224 hours of vacation <br /> per year.
