<br /> (with the individual worker's consent) of all present and newly hired workers in <br /> the SEIU unit on a quarterly basis. The worker's consent shall be given on a <br /> form agreed to by the City and the Union. Copies of all new forms (including <br /> changes to previously submitted forms) shall be furnished to the Union by the <br /> City. <br />3.7 New Workers <br /> New workers hired and assigned to classifications covered by the SEIU Unit <br /> shall be advised by the City that Local 715, Service Employees International <br /> Union, is the recognized bargaining representative in said unit. The City agrees <br /> to distribute to all new workers in the SEIU Unit a reasonable amount of <br /> materials provided by the Union at its expense. <br />3.8 Printing of the Agreement <br /> The Union agrees that the Union shall complete the printing of this Agreement. <br /> The Union and the City will share equally in the printing costs. The cover of the <br /> agreement shall bear both the City and Union Logo. The Union agrees to <br /> provide each bargaining unit member with a copy of this Agreement. The Union <br /> agrees to provide the Director of Human Resources with sufficient copies of this <br /> Agreement so that each new bargaining unit worker hired through the life of this <br /> Agreement shall be provided with a copy of this Agreement. <br />3.9 Payroll Deduction <br /> The City shall deduct Union membership dues and any other mutually agreed <br /> upon payroll deduction from the pay of member workers. The dues deduction <br /> must be authorized in writing by the worker on an authorization card acceptable <br /> to the City and the Union. The City shall remit the deducted dues to the Union <br /> on a bi-weekly basis. <br /> Upon voluntary request by the worker, the City will make a deduction for "COPE" <br /> along with other deductions sent to the Union. <br /> ARTICLE 4 - AGENCY SHOP <br />4.1 Duty of Fair Representation <br /> The Union, as the exclusive representative, has the duty to provide fair and non- <br /> discriminatory representation to all workers covered by this Memorandum of <br /> Understanding, regardless of whether they are members of the Union. <br /> 4 <br />...
