<br /> MOU, and to make payroll deductions pursuant to <br /> Section 3.1.6.2 ofthis MOD. Under no circumstances <br /> shall the City be required to dismiss any employee <br /> for failure to fulfill hislher obligations to pay the fees <br /> established herein. <br /> 3.1.8.2 Union's Obligations. The Union, not the City, shall <br /> be solely responsible for requiring unit members to <br /> fulfill the obligations defined herein. It is the <br /> exclusive obligation of the Union to collect any <br /> agency fees which may be due and payable to the <br /> Union in consideration for its services as the <br /> exclusive representative of employees. <br /> 3.1.9 Hold Harmless <br /> The Union shall hold the City harmless and shall fully and promptly <br /> reimburse the City for any reasonable legal fees, court costs, or other <br /> litigation expenses incurred in responding to or defending against <br /> any claims against the City or any of its agents, or employees, in <br /> connection with the interpretation, application, administration or <br /> enforcement of any section in this MOU pertaining to agency fees. <br /> The existence of or extent of any indemnification obligation under <br /> this provision shall be subject to the grievance procedure spelled <br /> out in this MOU. <br />3.2 Bulletin Boards <br /> The City shall provide suitable space for bulletin boards in City fire stations. <br /> The Union shall provide bulletin boards no larger than 30" x 40". The Union <br /> shall be allowed to use such bulletin boards for communications having to do <br /> with official Union business, such as time and place of meetings. <br /> Posted material shall not be obscene, defamatory or offensive to the public. All <br /> posted material shall bear the identity of the sponsor, shall be neatly displayed <br /> and shall be removed when no longer timely. <br />3.3 Use of City Facilities <br /> City employees or the Union or their representatives may, in accordance with <br /> established City policies, be granted the use of City facilities for meetings of <br /> City employees provided space is available. <br /> The use of City equipment other than items normally used in the conduct of <br /> business meetings, such as desks, chairs, ashtrays, and blackboards, is strictly <br /> 6 <br />
