Fxhihif "A" <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Contractor shall provide the following services as part of this contract: <br />a. Consulting. Provide expertise to City staff and represent City, if requested by <br />the City, with regulatory agencies and their interests in the management of the <br />Redwood Shores Lagoon system, specifically compliance with the State Water <br />Resources Control Board's Statewide General Permit No. CAG990005: <br />Statewide NPDES Permit for Discharges of Aquatic Pesticides to Waters of the <br />United States and Water Quality Order No. 2013-0002- DWQ and its <br />amendments, and Wastewater Discharge Requirements for all municipalities. <br />Further, accompany and participate with City staff at community meetings, as <br />needed. <br />b. Water Quality Monitoring. Coordinate proactive, frequent inspections / surveys <br />with the City before, during, and after pesticide applications to ensure a <br />constant and accurate assessment of lagoon conditions and that all laws and <br />regulations are being followed at all times as the work progresses, including: <br />• Trash and Debris Monitoring to ensure that the City has a constant and <br />accurate assessment of lagoon conditions with respect to trash and <br />debris nuisance management. Identify tools and techniques to be utilized <br />and frequency of monitoring. <br />• Plant Nuisance Monitoring to ensure that the City has a constant and <br />accurate assessment of lagoon conditions with respect to aquatic plant <br />nuisance management through frequent inspections and / or visual <br />surveys. Identify tools and techniques to be used, and frequency of <br />monitoring. Identify needs for mechanical harvesting and chemical <br />applications, identify products, set schedules and advise City of <br />recommended actions. Ensure that all laws and regulations are being <br />followed at all times as the work progresses. <br />Note: Water quality sampling, as required by the SF Bay Regional Water Quality <br />Control Board and reported annually to the Board, is conducted under the provisions <br />of the City's NPDES General Permit for Aquatic Pesticides Self -Monitoring Program <br />annual reporting. Any water quality sampling provided by Contractor as part of the <br />Scope of Work, is strictly for use by the Contractor to determine its treatment <br />parameters and priorities. Testing results will not substitute for the pre-treatment <br />and/or post-treatment water quality testing and sampling conducted in compliance with <br />the City's Water Quality Monitoring Plan. <br />REV: 08-18-2020 EI <br />ATTY/AGR.Amend No. 3/WATERWORKS INDUSTRIES, INC.
