Project Location: The approximately 1.12-acre project site is located at 860 Charter Street in <br /> Redwood City and unincorporated San Mateo County and is generally bounded by Bay Road to <br /> the north,existing light industrial and commercial uses to the east and south,and Charter Street <br /> to the west. <br /> 8. Description of Project: The existing project site is comprised of two immediately contiguous <br /> parcels of land,one of which is located within the City of Redwood City and the other of which <br /> is located within the County of San Mateo. The site is currently developed with an approxi- <br /> mately 23,200-square-foot,one-story warehouse structure within the City boundaries and an <br /> associated surface parking lot and metal storage shed within the County boundaries. <br /> The proposed project involves conversion of the site into a public TK-5 charter elementary <br /> school,which would be operated by Rocketship Education. Associated improvements include <br /> new landscaping and playground areas and modifications to existing site access, circulation and <br /> parking.
