Before <br /> the last meeting, I submitted 2 independent studies from Rasmussen <br /> Planning Inc. & Prism Engineering, hired by the Redwood Village BA. You <br /> continued this meeting to a later date, so that your staff could study what <br /> they have found and reported on. There are questions and statements that <br /> needed to be answered per CEQA. <br /> I've attached to this E-mail transmittal (please read their responses) <br /> to your staffs' and Rocketship's consultants inability to answer the very <br /> pressing questions, does this school fit into this location safely? <br /> The answer is obviously, NO! <br /> 1) A school for small children of age's five to eleven-year olds, in this <br /> high intensity industrial neighborhood would be highly unsafe. <br /> 2) Student drop-offs in the morning would create a significant adverse <br /> traffic impact on the neighboring industrial businesses because of queuing <br /> onto surrounding streets, over a mile long of idling cars. <br /> 3) Inadequate parking would pose significant impacts for the site and <br /> neighboring street system when the school has parent gatherings & <br /> meetings and forums. <br /> 4) Walking and biking to school would be prohibitive due to the unsafe <br /> nature of the high volumes of auto and truck traffic on surrounding streets. <br /> Also, who in their right mind would let a 5 to 11-year-old child ride their bike <br /> in an industrial area. <br />
