The boundaries of the <br />Project Area are particularly described in the Redevelopment <br />Plan. <br />§105 The Project <br />The Project consists of the construction on the Project Site <br />of approximately 171,213 square feet of commercial buildings, <br />consisting of a major Safeway store, multiple restaurants, and <br />90,000 square feet or more of specialty, service, and <br />professional building areas, with surface parking stalls to be <br />approved by the Agency, which approval will not be unreasonably <br />withheld. The Project also includes a subsurface parking <br />facility which is subject to the approval of Sam Trans. The <br />Project Site Plan is shown on Attachment No. 2. The required <br />approvals are set forth on the Schedule of Performance which is <br />Attachment No. 4. <br />§106 The Project Site <br />The Project Site is that portion of the former Gateway <br />Subarea which is now a part of the Downtown Subarea of the <br />Project Area. The boundary of the Project Site is shown on <br />Attachment No. 3. <br />§107 The Agency <br />The Agency is a public body, corporate and politic, <br />exercising governmental functions and powers and organized and <br />existing under Chapter 2 of the Community Redevelopment Law of <br />the State of California (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et <br />seq., hereinafter sometimes "CRL"). The principal office of the <br />Agency is located at 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, <br />California 94063. <br />"Agency", as used in this Agreement, includes the <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City, California, and <br />any assignee of or successor to its rights, powers and <br />responsibilities under this Agreement. <br />§108 The Developer <br />The Developer is a California corporation the major <br />stockholder of which is David C. Irmer.
