FISCAL IMPACT
Funds as designated in the City of Redwood City Adopted Budget 2017-2018 Capital
Improvement Projects, Capital Outlay Fund, Parks Impacts Fees Fund / Parks In Lieu
Fee Fund.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the Marlin and Sandpiper
Park Turf Field Replacements Project meets the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) exemption criteria as set forth in Section 15301, “Existing Facilities,” because
the project would repair subsurface stabilization and drainage problems with the
replacement of existing synthetic turf with similar materials. The Project would not
expand the use of the playfields to be repaired. Furthermore, this project is designed to
be compliant with the City’s Engineering Standards and currently accepted practices.

JAMES O’CONNELL, PE
SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

AARON AKNIN, AICP
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

MELISSA STEVENSON DIAZ
CITY MANAGER

ATTACHMENT
1.
