Stangel <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CALL TO ORDER - 7:35 p.m., Mayor Greenalch presiding. <br />Board of Supervisors Chambers <br />401 Marshall Street <br />May 16, 1988 <br />7:30 p.m. <br />Councilmen present: Buchan, Bury, Claire, LaBerge, Murray, and Mayor Greenalch <br />Councilmen absent: Stangel <br />Officials and staff present: Smith, Schri cker, Hildebrand and Ramchandani <br />Pawloski, Schroedl, Sennewald, Light, Hamilton, O'Brien <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Councilman Claire <br />INVOCATION - Pastor Sheldon Boyd <br />Church of the Nazarene <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Group Interview Session 5/9/88 <br />City Council Meeting 5/9/88 <br />M /S: Buchan /LaBerge to approve the subject Minutes as submitted. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote <br />SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Mayor Greenalch observed that Canada College has just celebrated its 20th <br />anniversary and in doing so recognized those who have been instrumental in <br />the on -going l i f e of the College. Mayor Greenalch presented a Certificate of <br />Appreciation from the College to former Mayor Claire and the members of the <br />City Council for their support of Canada College. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />Nita Spanqler, 970 Edgewood Road, expressed her concern about the condition <br />of Union Cemetery. She noted that the cemetery was designated California <br />Historical Landmark No. 816 in 1967 and is also on the National Register of <br />Historic Places.
