Ken Rol andel l i, 2466 Oregon, Chairman, Historic Resources Advisory Commi tte, <br />referred to his letter of June 14, 1988 urging funding of certain priority <br />items for the protection of Union Cemetery. He presented slides depicting <br />the gravesite destruction by vandals and urged Council to restore the <br />Cemetery to the dignity it deserves. <br />Helen Graves, 371 Idylwild Court, urged that Union Cemetery be restored in <br />keeping with its historic designation on the National Register. <br />Stephen Koster, 1567 Hudson, said he is disturbed about the condition of the <br />Cemetery and believes historic figures from the City's past who are buried <br />there deserve better. <br />b. Geri Mayers, 2303 Broadway, objected to the placement of item No. 14, the <br />second reading of the ordinance relating to smoking regulations, on the <br />Consent Calendar. Mayor Greenal ch said he will order separate consideration <br />of the i tem .
