( Letter to <br />Executive Director of the Agency from Ronald Neuman 6/6/88 and Letter to <br />Mayor Greenal ch from Steven Kay, attorney, of 7/25/88) <br />Gus Pappas, Redwood Shores, said he is concerned about soil conditions in the <br />Marina Sub -area and suggested that the cost of mitigating the conditions <br />which may e xi st may be great. <br />Nita Spanql er, 970 Edgewood Road, woul d 1 ike more communi ty comment on the <br />police facility and suggested a study meeting with participation by the <br />Planning Commission and others. <br />A. H. Davi es, 1101 E 1 Cami no Real , suggested the pol ice stati on shoul d be a <br />part of the civic center. <br />M /S: Claire /Bury to hold a public work session to discuss the Marina sub- <br />area site and to ask the City Council Police Facility Site Committee and the <br />consultant, Wendell Mounce, to make a presentation as to why the site was <br />s el ect ed . <br />Carried unanimously by roll call vote. <br />(NOTE: The work session scheduled for Thursday, August 11, 1988 <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the new Main Library Conference Room.) <br />M/S : Murray /Buchan to accept staff recommendation with regard to timing and <br />process of Mari na Redevel opnent Sub -area, as contai ned i n the report of the <br />Community Development Director of July 19, 1988: <br />a. That the Minute Order (see Exhibit A) directing staff to issue <br />a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Marina Sub -Area, be <br />r es ci nd ed . <br />b. That redevelopment of the Marina site be delayed until various <br />public improvements (Blomquist extension, Maple Street inter- <br />change) which will increase the value of the site have been <br />com pl et ed . <br />c.
