<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AMENDMENT NO.1 <br />TO AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />(After School Program Services) <br /> <br /> <br />Æ.. - This Amendment No.1 is entered into and effective as of th~ay of <br />~, 2004, amending the agreement dated September 8, 2003 (the <br />"Agreement") by and between the City of Redwood City, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City"), and the Redwood City School District <br />("District") (collectively, the "Parties") for after school program services. <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />A. The Parties have agreed that the Agreement, as written, does not take into <br />consideration a necessary increase in City staff time to cover a decrease in teachers <br />and aides provided by the District to support the services contemplated by the <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />B. The Parties have agreed that given the increase in City staff time spent in <br />support of the Agreement, the City will receive additional compensation from the District. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br />contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. That Paragraph 4 (Compensation) of the Agreement is hereby amended to <br />increase the sum that the District agrees to pay the City by sixty-one thousand six <br />hundred eighty-seven dollars ($61,687) to a total not to exceed amount of three <br />hundred ninety thousand dollars ($390,000). <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />All other provisions of the Agreement will remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />3.
