<br /> Kevin Donahue, Structural Engineer <br /> 1101 8th Street, #180 <br /> Berkeley, CA 94710 <br />February 5, 2004 <br />Rempel + Lao Architecture <br />2213 Fifth Street <br />Berkeley, CA 94710 <br />SUBJECT: Redwood City, Cinema Streetscape <br />Dear Mr. Rempel: <br />I am pleased to propose the following agreement for providing structural engineering services for the <br />subject project. <br />It is my understanding that the items requiring structural engineering services include 4 Theater Way <br />gateway structures, 9 Theater Way planter columns, and the anchorage of these items plus up to five <br />metal bollards to the foundation or support structure engineered by the project structural engineer. The <br />scope of our services includes structural engineering design, engineering detail drawings and <br />coordination with the project architect and engineer. <br />I propose a fixed fee of $7500, broken down by project phases as follows: <br />Design Development $850 <br />75% Contract Documents $3750 <br />100% Contract Documents $1625 <br />Construction Phase $1275 <br />Additional services will be billed on a time and materials basis, with our current billing rates being <br />$ 120/hr for principal hours and $80/hr for design associate hours. <br />Invoices will be submitted at the conclusion of each project phase and will be paid within 30 days. <br />This Letter of Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties, and can be tenninated at <br />any time by mutual agreement.
