Basic Services: 75% Contract Documents Phase
1. We will meet with the urban designer to review the schematic lighting design, and, where
appropriate, we will suggest alternative designs.
2. We will assist the urban designer and the city in setting appropriate lighting level criteria, and we
will perfonn calculations as required to demonstrate that the proposed design meets the criteria.
3. After the lighting design is approved, we will refine the design and prepare 75% contract document
lighting design plan layers in AutoCAD to indicate the locations, fixture types, and controls for
lighting in our scope. Our layers will be incorporated by the urban designer into the landscape
drawings and by the design-build electrical subcontractor into the electrical drawings. It should not
be necessary for either the urban designer or the design-build electrical subcontractor to re-draw any
of our layers.
4. We will provide a set oflight fixture catalog cuts and the following specification sections in the urban
designer's fonnat for inclusion in the 75% contract documents:
Section 16500: Lighting
Section 16501: Lighting Schedule (for fixtures specified by ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING DESIGN)
5. We will provide preliminary sketches of special lighting details.
6. We will attend one design team coordination meeting in this phase.
7. We will review the 75% contract documents and send our comments to the urban designer.
Basic Services: 100% Contract Documents Phase
1. We will update our lighting plan layers as the design progresses and issue this infonnation to the
urban designer and the design-build electrical subcontractor for inclusion in the 100% contract
documents. lfrequired, we will revise the design to meet the owner's budget, based on a cost estimate
prepared at the end of the Design Development Phase.
2. We will review the 100% contract documents for coordination between landscape and electrical
engineering drawings pertaining to the lighting design.
3. We will provide lighting specification sections for the urban designer's use in assembling the 100%
project manuals.
4. We will attend up to two design team coordination meetings in this phase.
5. We will provide sketch details of special mounting conditions for standard fixtures. These will be
issued as 8-1/2" x 11" sketches and will be used by the urban designer to develop the appropriate
details.
Basic Services: Bidding and Negotiation Phase
1. We will assist the urban designer in preparing addenda related to lighting.
2.
