<br />Basic Services: Construction Phase <br />1. We will review the contractor's submittals for general compliance with the intent of the lighting <br /> design as shown in the contract documents. Our review wiIl be limited to two submittals (one <br /> submittal and one resubmittal) for each fixture type. <br />2. We will assist the urban designer in responding to requests for information and in clarifying and <br /> interpreting the contract documents during construction. <br />3. Near the end of construction, we wiIl make one site visit to prepare a lighting punch list for al1 areas <br /> in our scope of work. <br />4. At the end of construction, we will make one after-dark site visit to direct the aiming of all adjustable <br /> lighting by the contractor and to check the contractor's completion of the punch list items. <br />5. We wiIl prepare a lamp maintenance list, cross-referenced to the fixture types, for the owner's use. <br />Additional Services <br />AIl services not listed above will be provided as Additional Services. Some examples include: <br />1. Construction or review of mockups during design. <br />2. Preparation of detailed electronic color renderings of the lighting design. <br />3. Preparation of detailed life-cycle cost studies or review of studies prepared by others. <br />4. Preparation of detailed value engineering studies of costs-vs.-benefits for alternative designs, review <br /> of studies prepared by others, or attendance at formal value engineering sessions. <br />5. Attendance at public hearings to obtain design approval. <br />6. Location of exit signs or emergency lights, and calculations to document conformance to exit path <br /> lighting requirements. <br />7. Calculations or documentation for LEED certification. <br />8. Lighting design revisions to reduce cost after bid. <br />9. Design revisions during the Construction Phase due to site conditions which were unknown during <br /> design or due to design changes requested by the owner or the urban designer. <br />10. Review of contractor's pricing of proposed change orders. <br />11. Expediting orders for lighting equipment. <br />Use of Lighting Design <br />1. Designs, specifications, and details prepared by ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING DESIGN are our <br /> inteIlectual property and may not be used in other parts or phases of this project or in any other <br /> project without our permission. <br /> 3 <br /> --.~..._. <br />
