<br />Whereas, said board of trustees,ln and by said resolution,did refer to James V.Neuman,
<br />civil engineer,who was by said resloution employed by said board of trustees (there being
<br />no city or town engineer of and for said town), the work hereinbefore mentioned and pro-
<br />posed by said resolution for the purpose of doing and performing all acts required of the
<br />said civil engineer by the provisions of "The Local Improvement Act Of 1901," and did in-
<br />struct said James V. Neuman,said civil engineer,to make to said board of trustees a re-
<br />port in writing containing his recommendations as to the best methods Of doing all of said
<br />work, and to attach to said report the exhibits referred to in said act; and
<br />Whereas, said James V. Neuman,said civil engineer,did thereafter make to said board
<br />of trustees his said report in writing in accordance with said resolution and the pro-
<br />visions of "The Local Improvement Act of 1901," containing his recommendations as to the
<br />best methods of doing all of said work proposed by said resolution,and to Which said re—
<br />port was attached and annexed the exhibits required by the provisions of "The Local Im-
<br />provement Act of 19o1," -and did file his said report with the clerk of said town of Red-
<br />wood City,and which said report and the exhibits attached thereto are now on file with
<br />said clerk and are hereby referred to and expressly made a part hereof; and
<br />Whereas, said board of trustees, subsequent to the passage and adoption of the reso-
<br />lution hereinbefore mentioned and referred to,and on the first day of June,1909,did pass
<br />and adopt an ordinance known as "Ordinance No. 7$," and entitled "An ordinance Changing
<br />the Names of Certain Streets in the Town of Redwood City,County of San Mateo,State of
<br />California," in and'by which said ordinance names of certain streets shown,mentioned and
<br />referred to in said "Map of Re -subdivision of Dingee Park," said resolution and said re-
<br />port and exhibits of said 'James V. Neuman were changed as follows:
<br />Whipple Road to Whipple Avenue; Eleventh Street,and also Broadway from the inter-
<br />section of Duane Street south,to Hopkins Avenue; Eighth Street to Brewster Avenue; James
<br />Street to James Avenue,and Harriman Street to Lexington Avenue; and
<br />Whereas,said board of trustees of the town of Redwood Oity.has duly and fully con-
<br />sidered and examined said report of said James V. Neuman,the said civil engineer,an d the
<br />exhibits attached thereto;
<br />Now Therefore,be it Resolved by the board of trustees of the town of Redwood City
<br />that the report of said James V, Neuman,the said civil engineer, and the exhibits attached
<br />thereto,be,and the same are,hereby modified as follows,to-wit:
<br />That wherever the name "Whipple Road" appears it shall read "Whipple Avenue,forimerly
<br />Whipple Road," and that wherever the name "Broadway" appears it shall read "Hopkins Ave-
<br />nue,formerly Broadway"; and
<br />Be it further Resolved,that the said report of said James V. Neuman,said civil engineer
<br />With the exhibits attached thereto,as modified,be,and the same are,hereby adopted; and
<br />Be it further Resolved,that an assessment in the total sum Of $37t258,75 be,and the
<br />owe is,hereby levied and assessed against the real property contained within the exter—
<br />ior boundaries of the district shown and delineated upon the exhibits attached .to said
<br />civil engine erIa report, to which reference is hereby made and the same made a part hereof,
<br />which exterior boundaries of said district are hereinafter deseribed,and which said dis-
<br />trict is hereby declared to be benefitted by said proposed improvements and assessed to
<br />Pay the costs and expenses thereof,and the said assessment of $37,259.75 is hereby ap-
<br />portioned among and levied against the various subdivisions of real property contained
<br />Within said district as the same appears upon the map of said district,being exhibit No.5
<br />attached to said report of said James V. Neuman,to which reference is hereby made and the
