Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee BrOwn,moved that the following communication ad- <br />dressed to Cullen CompanY,be placed on the minutes. Motion carried, <br />p Redwood City, Cal. December 1910, <br />-4 To Cullen Company, a Corporation: <br />The real consideration for the deed which You have executed to the Town of Red - <br />ad$ <br />J wood CitY,coriveying to said Town a strip of land Twenty (20) feet frontage on the Westerly <br />Side of Hain Street,is not set forth in the deed of conveyance,and we therefore herewith <br />jd -r indicate what the real consideration for said deed was as agreed upon between the grantor <br />and grantee named therein. <br />;r 1st', <br />The sum of Three thousand seven hundred and seventy-five dollars and fifty-eight cents <br />($3775,58) in cash is to be paid by the Town of Redwood City to said Cullen Company for <br />the land described in said deed,for removing and restoring buildings and for all other in - <br />.ted cidentals except as hereinafter mentioned, <br />In <br />2nd: <br />The -Town of Redwood City agrees to furnish the material necessary to put up to the sub- <br />atgrade the Street proposed to be extended and created on the land to be purchased from You <br />=a <br />red <br />(in so far as it will apply to and affect Your property) as to street and sidewalk work. <br />3rd: <br />It is understood. and 'agreed that until said Cullen Company shall be in position to re, <br />move from the building which they now occupy as an office and grain store house the per- <br />E sonal property therein stored and kept ,to -wit, grain , feed etc, to the old mill building <br />t • a • <br />6 also owned by said Cullen Company (and which same is near Mound Street),the said -Cullen <br />F Company may without rent or charge continue to use the -said office building and store room <br />as the same is now situate,and without the same being removed. <br />It is understood that Cullen Company is unable to so remove to said, Mill building be- <br />{ <br />cause of obstructions placed, in front thereof by the Southern Pacific Company by reason of <br />pending improvements and repairs, provided however that as .soon as such conditions will per- <br />.' <br />mit,Cullen Company will remove to said Lull building. <br />Trustee Hynding presented the following resolution and moved its adoption: - <br />Z. <br />d <br />WHEREAS, Cullen Company has this day presented to the Town of Redwood City a cer- <br />tain deed conveying land fronting on Main street in said Town to be used for the extension <br />z, <br />Of Phelps Street; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City that <br />said, deed be,and the same is hereby accepted and the Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered <br />to draw a warrant in favor of said Cullen Company for the sum of 03775.58 said sum being <br />i; . <br /># the consideration for said deed. <br />Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City at a regular <br />adjourned meeting of said Board held on the 126 day of December, 19107bY trae following <br />vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of said resolution, Trustees, <br />Brown, IIynding, Sampson, Merrill. <br />
