ity to <br />ons of i <br />the <br />tad by <br />neer of <br />s <br />t Y en - <br />.1d he is r <br />his <br />ill be <br />;ular <br />he <br />the <br />,o the <br />0 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town Of Redwood City, by resolution duly passed <br />and adopted on the 6th day of March 91911,and now on file in the office of the Clerk of' <br />said Town of Redwood CitY,to which reference is hereby made and the same made a part here- <br />of, did declare as follows, to -wit: <br />That the public interest and convenience required that the roadway of certain streets <br />and portions of streets designated and set forth in said resolution and situate and being <br />In the Town of Redwood City,State of California, be graded to the official grade for ma- <br />cadamizing and be macadamized and oiled, and <br />That the public interest and convenience required that culverts be constructed on all <br />those certain street s designated and set Porth in said resolution and situate and being in <br />the Town of Redwood City,County of San Mateo,State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, said Board of Trustees, in and by said resolution, did refer to James V. Neu <br />man, a civil engineer, who was by said resolution employed by said Board of Trustees <br />(there being no city or town engineer of or for said Town), the work hereinbefore men- <br />tioned and proposed by said resolution, for the purpose of doing and performing all acts <br />required of the civil engineer by the provisions of "The Local Improvement Act of 19o1", <br />and did instruct said James V. Neuman, said civil engineer, to make to said Board of Trus- <br />tees a report, in writing, containing his recommendations as to the best methods of doing <br />all of said work, and to attach to said report the exhibits referred to in said Act; and <br />V EREAS, said James V. Neuman, said civil engineer, did thereafter make to said Board <br />D <br />of Trustees his said report in writing, in accordance with said resolution and the pro- <br />visions of "The Local Improvement Act of 1901" containing his recommendations as to the <br />best methods of doing all of said work proposed by said resolution, and to which said re- <br />port was attached and annexed the exhibits required by the provisions of The Local Im- <br />provement Avt of 190100,and did Pile his said report with the Clerk of said Town of Redwood <br />Oity,and which said report and the exhibits attached thereto are now on file with said <br />Olerk, and are hereby referred to and expressly made a part hereof; and <br />WHEREAS, said Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City has duly and full consider- <br />ed and examined said report of said James V. Neuman, the said civil engineer, and the ex- <br />hibits attached thereto; <br />NOT THEREF6n , be it RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City <br />that the report of said James V. Neuman, the said civil engineer, and the exhibits attach- <br />ed thereto, be, and the same are, hereby adopted; and <br />Be it further resolved, that an assessment in the total sum of $57P448.35 be, and the <br />same is, hereby levied and assessed "against the real property contained within the ex- <br />terior boundaries of the district shown and delineated upon the exhibits attached to said <br />civil engineer +s report. to which reference is•herebY made and the same made a part hereof, <br />Which exterior boundaries of said district are herein after described, and which said dis- <br />trict is hereby declared to be benefitted by said proposed improvements and assessed to <br />Pay the costs and expenses thereof and the said assessment of $57,448.35 is hereby ap- <br />portioned among and levied against the various subdivisions of real property contained <br />within said district as the same appears upon the map of said district,being exhibit No. 5 <br />attached to said report of said James V.Neuman,to which reference is hereby made and the <br />same made a part hereof according to the benefits,which the respective subdivisions and <br />parcels will receive from said improvements, as follows, to -wit: <br />C. <br />9 <br />
