Town ClerK, G -0 -Plump. Absent Trustee Carl Beeger. Minutes of meeting of March 20919111read. Trustee Hynding. seconded by Trustee Brown, moved same be approved. Motion carried. Communication received from representative citizens of San Mateo County requesting the Board of Trustees to appoint one of its members to act on a Board of Governors,to perfect a permanent San Mateo County Development Board,to advertise the advantages of San Mateo County. Trustee Brown,seconded by Trustee sampson,movea the communication be received and filed. and. Trustee Hynding be appointed as requested. Motion carried. Petition received from a number of property Qwners on Oak Avenue and vicinity, request;- Ing equest= Ing the improvement of creek so that storm waters would not overflow. Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Brown,moved petition be received and filed for future consideration, and the City Attorney requested to look up the matter of Towns right to widen said creek. Motion carried. Communication from L.F,walsh for permission to connect with town water system,property being situated on•17hipple Avenue and Alameda de los Pulgas. Trustee Brown,seeonded.by Trustee Sppson,moved permission be granted,MrWalsh to pay all regular fees and to make connections at his own expense. Meter to be placed in City limits.. Motion carried. Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Brown,moved the Superintendent of Streets be author- ized to reise bridge on upper end of Roosevelt Avenue to allow storm waters to be unob- structed. Motion carried. Trustee Brown,seconded by Trustee Hynding,moved that Bruno Heymann be instructed to pre- pare plans for rethining,wall anq ot],ier improvements on County Road,gs provided.for in. Bond issue. Motion carried. Trustee Hynding,seconded. by Trustee Sampson,moved that Superintendent of Stz-eets be authorized to construct concrete culvert, to' remove corrugated culverts and dig temporary ditch in sidewalk on west side of James Street,if permission will not be granted,bY Mr. Pissis to dig ditch through his property. The purpose is to allow storm water to go by direct route instead of crossing and recrossing James and Elwood Streets ,preliminary 'to macadamizing said streets. Motion carried. Appointment of Charles Lorton as assistant Ni'ghtwatchman by City Marshal Coleman. Trustee Sampson, seconaed by Trustee Brown,moved appointment be approved. Motion carried. superintendent of Streets Dickey was authorized to purchase dirt for approach to Web- ster Street bridge,not to exceed ,*1.00 per load.
