Redwood City, March 18th.

<br />The regular meeting of the Board of Town Trustees was hold.
<br />At roll call there were present, Trustees, Pres. Goo .A.Merrill, Carl Beeger,
<br />Robert Brown, O.a.Hynding, E.H. Sampson, and Town Clerk, (}.C,Plump.
<br />The minutes of the meeting held March 4th. , were read
<br />• + and upon motion of
<br />Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Brown, and carried the same were approved.
<br />The monthly reports of the Marshall, Treasurer, Supt. of Streets and Health
<br />officer, were read. A motion mad -by -Trustee Sampson that these reports be received and
<br />filed, was seconded by Trustee Beeger, Motion Carried.
<br />A communication from the San Mateo Womanss Club, relative to meat inspection
<br />was, upon motion of Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried, referred to
<br />the Health Officer.
<br />The contract for incandescent lamps was referredto Electrical Engineer warder
<br />Pres. Merrill.
<br />The matter of purchasing a Dalton Adding Machine was laid over',t6 a later meeting.
<br />ORDINANCE N0.113.
<br />An ordinance granting a franchise to construct equip and maintain steel railways
<br />along over and across certain streets avenues and highways in the Town of Redwood City, et�.
<br />was introduced upon motion of Trustee Sampsonas Ordinance No. 113. This motion was se
<br />by Trustee Brown and carried by the following vote.
<br />Ayes, Trustees , Beeger, Brown, HYnding, Sampson and Merrill,
<br />Noes, Trustees , None.
<br />Absent, Trustees, None.
<br />On motion of Trustee Sampson, seconded by Trustee Brown , and carried.
<br />Ed.v.Shl.ne was appointed Pouhdmasiter, at a salary of twentY($20) dollars per.month
<br />and the usual fees.
<br />Trustee Hyndirig moved the adoption of the following resolution.
<br />Whereas,
<br />HALF MOON BAY REALTY COMPANY, a corporation, has this- day presented to •the
<br />Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood CitY, San Mateo County, State of California,
<br />I certain map, entitled, "Map of REDWOOD OAKS", San Mateo County, California,
<br />said map being prepared in all respects as required by law.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
<br />that the following public Streets, delineated
<br />and set forth on staid map, to -wit: oxford Street and Regent Street, be and the same are
<br />hereby accepted on behalf of the public by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood
<br />01ty, County of San Mateo, State of California, as dedicated to public use, and the Clerk
<br />Of this Board is direetted to Endorse upon said map said acceptance; and
<br />BE IT FURTIM RESOLVED,
<br />that this resolution be adopted and said map accepted
<br />upon and subject to the express condition that the County of -San Mateo does not hereby
<br />become responsible or liable for any cost, charge or expense, either for grading,
<br />macadamizing, or for any other purpose, as to any of said Streets ,'avenues or highways*
<br />'dis
<br />`this condition as to the Incurring -of costs, charges of expenses being left to the me
<br />of future Boards of Trustees; no one of said Boards of Trustees or anY•p;member thereof
<br />or
<br />any sum or amount arising
<br />said Town of Redwood City, shall ever be liable gob,,damage in
<br />by or through any defect of any kind in said streets, rilrwaYs or avenues•
<br />Trustee Beeger seconded the motion Motion carried.
