April 1st.,1912, $ P.M. <br />T <br />The regular meeting of the Board Of Town Trustees was held. <br />Upon roll call there were present, Trustees, Pres.Geo.A.Merrill, Robert Brown, <br />C.J.HYnding, Carl Seeger, E.H.Sampson and Town Clerk, G.C.Plump. <br />The minutes of the meeting held March lath. 91912, were read , and upon <br />motion of Trustee Hording, seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried, the same were approved <br />as read. <br />A communication from the Levy Real Estate CO. relative to a lower assessment <br />on the Capital Hotel property ; was, upon motion of Trustee' Hynding, seconded by Trustee <br />Beeger, and carried, received and filed. <br />A communication from M.Maritzen, in regard to curb crossing Oak Avenue, <br />a request for street light , and the opening of Oliver Street, was referred to City Enginear <br />Plods. <br />Another communication from Branch of Civic Center League, requested the use <br />of the Town Hall, and the League to pay for lights used. A motion by Trustee Hynding, <br />seconded and carried granted them the use of the Kindergarten Building for the present. <br />Lee T.Ross of the firm of Ross & Ross addressed the Board relative to the <br />reconsideration of claims of J.v.Neuman, for engineering work in Districts 15, 16•, and 17 <br />amounting to $1417.30. Trustee Sampson moved that the matter be referred to City <br />Attorney Mansfield, he to report at the next regular meeting. <br />Motion was seconded by Trustee Hynding and carried. - i -, . <br />C.G.Landscheit next. addressed the Board in the matter of establishing.the <br />line for bulkhead in the rear of the Gunning property on Main Street , on the Creek. <br />This matter was referred to City Engineer Pioda and Mr.Landscheit to interest the property <br />owners on both sides of the Creek , and they to call a meeting of said owners. <br />The application of B.Burxe for a permit for a Class A liquor license was <br />referred to the Committee on Public Morals. <br />James V.Swift presented Affidavits ofPublication of Ordinance No. 110, <br />establishing Election Precincts in the Town of Redwood City, and establishing the <br />boundaries thereof. Also of Ordinance No.111 calling a Special Election in the Town of <br />Redwood City for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said Town <br />several propositions to incur a bonded indebtedness to pay the cost of several municipal <br />improvements in and for said Town, the cost of which will be too great to to be paid out <br />of the ordinary annual.income and revenue of said Town. <br />Also Affidavit of Publication of Ordinance 1129 prescribing the notice of Election for <br />General Municipal Election to be held April Sth. 1912. <br />UPon motion of Trustee Hynding seconded by Trustee Sampson and carried these Affidavits <br />were received abd filed. <br />A motion introduced by Trustee Hynding that the Janitor H.C.Offerman , be <br />allowed $30.00 for the month of March, and that his services be suspended awaitinti the <br />Pleasure of the new Board, was seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried. <br />A motion by Trustee Hynding, seconded by TYustee Sampson, that the President <br />of the Board be authorized to enter into a contract with the Pacific States Electric Co. <br />for lamps for one year. Motion carried by a vote of all the Board. <br />A motion by Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Brown, that claim #494 <br />In favor of Ickelhelmer Bros. for light fixtures for New Town Hall bepaid was carried. <br />Ordinance No.113 granting street Railway Franchise was read by the Clerk <br />and also a protest against same from A.M.Robertson. <br />
