<br />That the sale of said, bonds be held in the office of this Board, in the Town of
<br />Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, on the 3rd, day of June, 1912, at the,,
<br />hour Of 8 O'clock P.M. of -that day.
<br />Bids must be in sealed envelopes and addressed to or left with the Clerk of said r, ,
<br />Town at any time after the date of the first publication of said notice and until 8
<br />o1ciock P.M. on the:3rd!A% day of June, 1912, at which time and place the sale will be
<br />made. Said notice shall be substantially in the following form, to. -wit:
<br />NOTICE OF THE SALE OF BONDS.
<br />Pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City
<br />in the County of San Mateo, State of California, passed and adopted on the 13th, day of
<br />May, 1912, notice is hereby given that said Board of Trual-bes will sell, at the Office of
<br />said Board, in the Town of Redwood City, at the hour of 8 oclock P.M., on the 3rd, day
<br />of June, 19129 to the highest bidder, at not less than their par value, for gold coin
<br />of the United States of America, the Municipal Improvement Bonds of 1912 of said Town
<br />In the amount of thirty thousand (301000 ) dollars, being the whole of the bonds of
<br />said Town authorized to be issued for certain municipal improvements in said Town, at
<br />a special election held on the fifth day of April, 1912, said bonds bearing interest at tie
<br />rate of five and one half (5a ) per cent per annum, interest payable semi-annually, on
<br />the first day of May and the first day of November, of every year, on presentation
<br />of the coupons at the Town Treasury of said Town.
<br />Principal and interest payable in gold coin of the United States of America.
<br />Said bonds are seventy-four (74 ) in number, numbered consecutively from
<br />one ( I ) to seventy-four (74) both numbers inclusive. All odd numbered bonds are
<br />of the denomination of $500. All even numbered bonds are of the denomination of

<br />$310.81737. All of said bonds are negotiable in form. One thirty-seventh (Y37)
<br />part of the principal of said bonds is payable each and every year, and said bonds are

<br />Issued in -series, so that one thirty-seventh (17) part of the number of said bonds will bill
<br />payable on the first day of May each -yeaPgnd every Year thereafter for the full period
<br />of thirty-seven years. The principal will be payable at the same place as the
<br />Interest. Said bonds will bear the date of May lst., 1912.
<br />Said bonds are issued by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood CitY, in
<br />accordance with the provisions and by the authority of an Act of the Legislature of the
<br />State of California, entitled o An ACt authorizing the incurring of indebtedness by
<br />cities, towns and municipal corporations for municipal improvements, and regulating the
<br />acquisition, construction or completion thereof,,, in effect February 25th., 1901, Statutes
<br />of 1901, page 27 et seq. and also an Act of the Legislature of the State of ®alifornia,
<br />entitled, "An Act amendimg an Act entitled 'An Act authorizing the incurring; of
<br />Indebtedness by cities, towns and municipal corporations, for municipal improvements,
<br />and regulating the acquisition, construction '.OV completion thereof", in effect Marcia 19tr.
<br />1907, and found in the Statutes of 1907, chapter 330, and also an Act of the Legislature
<br />Of the State of California entitled, "An Act to amend Section 5 of an Act which became a
<br />law February 25th., 1901, entitled "An Act authorizing the incurring of indebtedness
<br />by cities, towns and munioi})al corporations for municipal improvements, and regulating
<br />the acquisition, construction or completion thereof", as amended by an Act approved
<br />March 19th.91907, and found in the Statutes of 1909, chapter 411.
<br />Sealed proposals for the Purchase' of said bonds will be received by the
<br />Board of Trustees of said Town at the office of the Clerk of said Towm of Redwood C1tY9
