<br />A regular adjourned meeting of the Board of Town Trustees was held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees, Pr s.Geo.A.Merrill,Geo.A.D9leau, C.J.
<br />Ynding, E.11 -Sampson and Town Clerk, d.C.Plump.
<br />Absent, Trustee Hahir.
<br />Pres•Merrill stated that the purpose Of the meeting was•the hearing of protests, if
<br />any , in the matter of street work comple ted by Contractors, A.Teichert A Son.
<br />That he had requested A.W.Pioda, the former City Engineer, to appear before tha Board,
<br />and th,t the Inspector who was on the job had stated to him that the required amount of rock an
<br />and oil were placed on the streets.
<br />Pres. Merrill stated that 'he had analyzed the oil and that the Name was up to
<br />specifications.
<br />Protests were then called for, and no one responded with any objections.
<br />Pres. Merrill then asked to be excused is -he was to pxe Aide at another meeting, Grante(j.
<br />Trustee Sampson then acted as Pres. of the Board and called for remarks from the follow:,ng
<br />tax—payers and others. "
<br />Mr.A.Telchert,Jr. stated that the specifications had been followed and carried out, and
<br />all defects would be made good by him.
<br />H.H.Sears and A.W.Pioda , engineers on the job, explained why some of the grades had be,sn
<br />apparently changed to allow for proper drainage of storm waters. Mr.Sears, engineer in
<br />charge said that the contract was Carried out with the slightest changes always allowable
<br />on contracts of that nature. Supt. of Streets, Dickey stated that in his judgment the
<br />work had been Properly done. Mr.Benson asked why crown of street was not as high as Pr)Posed.
<br />f(� The matter of granting further time asked for by Contractors, A.Teichert A Son, asked For
<br />M
<br />( at last meeting was then; taken up ,,and on motion of Trustee Deleau, seconded by Trustee
<br />! Sampson, and carried, an additignai ten days was granted to A.Teichert & Son in the matter of f
<br />finishing contract.
<br />The Acting'Pres.of the Board E.H.sampson, then appointed the following committee to
<br />Inspect the street work in question and to report at the next meeting of the Board.
<br />Trustee C.J.Hynding, J.C.Dickey, H.H.Sears, Morris Cooper, C.C.Benson, H.W.Schaberg,
<br />;j and A.Kincaid.
