W <br />Redwood City, June 16th.,1913, 8 o'clock P.M. <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Town Trustees was held. <br />Upon roil call there were.present Trustees, Pres.Geo.A.Merrill, Geo.A.Doleau, J.J.Hahir, <br />C.J.Hynding, E.H.Sampson and Town Clerk G.C.Piump. <br />1913, <br />The minutes of the meeting held June 2nd,,,were read , and on motion of Trustee Hynding <br />seconded by Truatee.Deleau, and carried, the same were approved a a read. <br />The reports of the Town Clerk, Marshall, Treasurer, Supt.of Streets, Plumbing Inspect)r, <br />and City -Mechanic, were presented , and on motion of TOUStee Deleau, seconded by Trustee <br />Hahir and carried, the same were received and filed. <br />The affidavit of J.V.Swift, Publisher,of Redwood City Democrat, in the matter of <br />publishing "Notice to Bidders 11 for bids for water wagon , was, on motion of Trustee <br />Hynding, seconded by Trustee Deleau and, carried, received and filed. <br />The following are the bids received for sprinkling wagon. <br />Austin Itestern Machinery Co. No.1 0460.00 <br />Austin western Machinery Co. N0.2 $380.00 <br />Studebaker Bros. Co. <br />4$452.50 <br />A.L.Young Machinery Co. No.l 0417.50 <br />A.L.Young Machinery Co. No.2 0442.50. <br />Trustee Deleau moved that the matter of examination of water wagons <br />be referred to the chairman of the Committee on Public works, C.J.Hynding, and Supt, of 3treets <br />Dickey, who are to recommend to the Board the most desirable water wagon. Motion seeon,led <br />by Trustee Sampson and carried. <br />The affidavits of J.V.Swift, Publisher of the Redwood City Democrat, in the matter <br />of publishing "Notice to Contractors" for watering and sweeping the streets, was, on <br />motion of Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Hahir and carried, received and filed. <br />The following are the bids received for street sprinkling <br />J.w.Paulsen, X58.44 per day. <br />Geo.Alvis, IR -95 per day. <br />On motion of Trustee Deleau, seconded by Trustee Sampson and Barrie,— <br />the contract was awarded to Geo.Alvls at 07.95 per day by the following vote. <br />Ayes, Trustees Deleau, Hahir, Hynding, Sampson and Merrill. <br />Noes, Trustees, None. Absent, Trustees None. <br />The following wer:; the bids received for street sweeping. <br />J.D.Smith, $60.00 per month. <br />Pasquale Bailo, X545. per month. <br />O.H.Pickett, P54.70 per month.' <br />On motion of Trustee Hahir, seconded by Trustee Hynding, the <br />contract was awarded to O.H.Pickett for 054.70 per month on th) recommendation of Supt. <br />of streets Dickey and a number of business men, the motion was carried by the followln <br />vote. <br />Ayes, Trustees, Deleau, Hahir, Sampson and Merrill. <br />Noes, Trustees, None. Absent, Trustees, None. Not voting, Trustee Hynding. <br />Trustee Hynding moved, seconded by Trustee Sampson, that the report Of the Plumbing <br />Inspector be referred back for further information. Motion carried. <br />
