94 <br />in the gutter ways on Broadway in the Town of Redwood City, at the following points;one suc2 <br />cast iron outlet 18 -inches by 24 -inches with frame to be constructed in the gutter way on <br />the north side of Broadway at a point 75 feet south of the most southerly rail of the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad Company's track as now constructed to -rconnect with culvert <br />crossing Broadway, and the other such cast iron outlet 18 inches by 24 inches with frame <br />be constructed in the gutter way on the south side of Broadway at a point 53 feet south <br />of the most southerly rail of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's track as now construe. <br />ted to connect with culvert crossing Broadway; and <br />That Broadway in the Town of Redwood City be improved by having the manhole covers <br />reset at the following points and places on said street, to -wit: - <br />Manhole in the center line of Broadway at a point 208.8 feet south of most south- <br />erly rail of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's track, as now constructed, <br />Manhole in the center line of Broadway at a point 697.5 feet south of the most <br />southerly rail of the Southern Pacific railroad Company's track, as now constructed. <br />All the hereinabove and hereinbefore mentioned work is to be done in accordance <br />with the special plans and specifications heretofore adopted for doing said work, by the <br />Board of Trustees of the °mown of Redwood City, on the 24th day of January, 1916, and now <br />on file in the office of the Clerk, of the Torn of Redwood City, to, which plans and speci- <br />fications reference is hereby made for further particulars. <br />Serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of 7 per cent per annum _,nd extending <br />over the period of 9 years from the second day of January, next succeeding their date <br />shall be issued to represent assessments of twenty-five (425) dollars or over for the <br />costs and expenses of said work and improvements, and in manner and in form provided by <br />law. <br />RESOLVED that the said Board of Trustees of tIn Town of Redwood City hereby re- <br />jects all of said proposals or b ids, except that next herein mentioned, and hereby awards <br />the contract for doing said work and improvements to the lowest responsible bidder, to- <br />wit: - <br />C. E. Blanchard and Karl Ehrhart , at the prices named in their bid. <br />The Town Clerk of said icrrn of Redwood Oity, is hereby directed to pact notice <br />of this award conspicuously for five days, on or near the Council Chamber door, of the Boari <br />of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City, and also publish notices of this award by two <br />insertions in the Times -Gazette, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said Town <br />of Redwood City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the Board of Trustees of said <br />Town, there being no daily or semi-weekly newspaper published and circulated in said <br />Town of redwood City. <br />All the herein described work and improvements Bhall be done in pursuance of and <br />in conformity with an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled ,"Improve- <br />ment Act of 1911" approved _".pril 7th, 1911, and acts amendatory tIn reof. <br />Passed and adopted by the Board of lrustees of tIm I.,own of redwood City, at a <br />regular adjourned meeting of said Bma.rd held on the 7th day of April, 1916, by the fol- <br />lowing vote: - <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution of Award No. 22, <br />Trustees, <br />Trustees, <br />Deleau, Hahir, Campson, lj-'uchsen, Io'ierrill, <br />Does and against the passage of tin foregoing resolution of Award No. 22, <br />None <br />
