94 in the gutter ways on Broadway in the Town of Redwood City, at the following points;one suc2 cast iron outlet 18 -inches by 24 -inches with frame to be constructed in the gutter way on the north side of Broadway at a point 75 feet south of the most southerly rail of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's track as now constructed to -rconnect with culvert crossing Broadway, and the other such cast iron outlet 18 inches by 24 inches with frame be constructed in the gutter way on the south side of Broadway at a point 53 feet south of the most southerly rail of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's track as now construe. ted to connect with culvert crossing Broadway; and That Broadway in the Town of Redwood City be improved by having the manhole covers reset at the following points and places on said street, to -wit: - Manhole in the center line of Broadway at a point 208.8 feet south of most south- erly rail of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's track, as now constructed, Manhole in the center line of Broadway at a point 697.5 feet south of the most southerly rail of the Southern Pacific railroad Company's track, as now constructed. All the hereinabove and hereinbefore mentioned work is to be done in accordance with the special plans and specifications heretofore adopted for doing said work, by the Board of Trustees of the °mown of Redwood City, on the 24th day of January, 1916, and now on file in the office of the Clerk, of the Torn of Redwood City, to, which plans and speci- fications reference is hereby made for further particulars. Serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of 7 per cent per annum _,nd extending over the period of 9 years from the second day of January, next succeeding their date shall be issued to represent assessments of twenty-five (425) dollars or over for the costs and expenses of said work and improvements, and in manner and in form provided by law. RESOLVED that the said Board of Trustees of tIn Town of Redwood City hereby re- jects all of said proposals or b ids, except that next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvements to the lowest responsible bidder, to- wit: - C. E. Blanchard and Karl Ehrhart , at the prices named in their bid. The Town Clerk of said icrrn of Redwood Oity, is hereby directed to pact notice of this award conspicuously for five days, on or near the Council Chamber door, of the Boari of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City, and also publish notices of this award by two insertions in the Times -Gazette, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said Town of Redwood City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the Board of Trustees of said Town, there being no daily or semi-weekly newspaper published and circulated in said Town of redwood City.
