<br />sewer system near their factory was filed and same referred to Committee on Public Works.

<br />motion of Trustee Merrill,seconded by 'Trustee Mc.Nulty,his claim in the amount of $ 202.68,
<br />be settled on the same basis as Hess & Company's claim ,Motion Carried .

<br />Application from R.W.Hanthorn,asking for position of Poundmaster was on motion of
<br />Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Mc,NRlty ,same be filed, and he was to receive first
<br />preference whenever there was .a vacancy.Motion Carried.
<br />Communication from State Board of Health requesting the attendance of the City Health
<br />.Officer at the coming convention -of the League of Municipalities at Visalia,was on motion
<br />of Trustee Merrill,seconded by Trustee Tuehsen be referred to Health Officer,Dr.J.L.Ross,.
<br />and for him to use his own discretion about attending convention,Motion Carried.
<br />Communication from the League of California Municipalities regarding hand books to: be
<br />sent to the City Official was received and placed on file.
<br />Communivation from the -Mayor of San Francisco,inviting the City to participate at the
<br />Path of Gold Festival,0ctober 4th.5th.1916,was on motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by
<br />Trustee Mabie be referred to the Chamber of Commerce, for their consideration, and if they
<br />had any suggestion to make a report at the next meeting of the Board ,Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Merrill,seconded by Trustee Mc,Nulty,that Trustee Tuehsen be
<br />elected to delegate to represent the Board at any meeting's to be called in the movement
<br />of a vehicular bridge across the bay',at Duinbarton,Motion Carried.

<br />RESOLUTION FIXING TAX RATE FOR THE TOWN OF REDWOOD CITY FOR THE
<br />FISCAL YEAR 19,16-1917.
<br />RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, that the rate of taxes
<br />for the fiscal year 1916-1917 for general municipal putposee and for the general fund of
<br />said Town of Redwood City upon each 0 I00 of the asseswed valuation in said Town of Redwood
<br />City be, and the same is hereby fixed at seventy eight cents and five mills, and
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the rate of taxes for the fiscal year",1916,1917 upon the
<br />each 4 I00 of the assessed valuation of the property in said Town of Redwood City, for the
<br />payment of the Municipal Improvement Bonds falling due and becoming payable during said
<br />fiscal year,together with the interest thereon, be and the same is hereby fixed at twenty
<br />five cents, and
<br />Be IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the rate of taxes for the fiscal year 1916-1917 upon each
<br />$IAO of the assessed valuation of the property in said Town of Redwood City, for the pay-
<br />ment of the Extension of the Water System Bonds falling due and becoming payable during
<br />said fiscal year together with interest thereon, be and the same is hereby fixed at seven
