292 Serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of seven percent annum and extending over the period of nine years from the second day of January next succeeding their date shall be issued to represent assessments of twenty-five ($25)dollarU or over for the costs and expenses of said work and improvements and in manner and form provided by law. All the proposed work and improvements shall be done in pursuance of and in conformity with: an act of the Legislature of the State of California,entitled,"Improvement Act of 191111 approved April 7th.191I,and acts amendatory thereof. The Town Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of said work and improvements together with plans and specifications therefor,conspieuously for five days on or near the Council Chamber door of the Board of Trdstees of the Town of Redwood City,inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and making the improvements orde.red.,Said Town Clerk is also directed to publish a notice inviting such proposals or bids and referring to the plans and specifications posted or on file,in the Times -Gazette a weekly newspaper published and circulated insaid Town for the period required by law, said newspaper designated for that purpose by the Board of Trustees of said Town. All the herein described work and improvements shall be done in pursuance of and in con - fortuity with an act of the Legislature of the State of California,entitled,f1Improvement Act of 191I.approved April 7th.191I, and acts amendatory thereof.
