Lound street 37 feet south of the most southerly rail of the Southern Pacific Railroad
<br />Company's track as now constructed in a westerly direction in a straight line to the
<br />intersection of tIn northerly curb line of Elm street and the: westerly line of Main street
<br />formerly Mound street.
<br />Be it further resolved that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of tha Town
<br />of Redwood City to order the following work to be done and improvements to be made in
<br />said Town, to -wit: -
<br />That P:Iain street, formerly Illound street in the Town of Redwood City, be improved by
<br />having the man -hole covers reset on the man -holes at tIn following points and places,
<br />to -wit:
<br />i.Ian-hole at center line of Main street, formerly I,Iound street at the intersection of the
<br />southerly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's right-of-way.
<br />Plan -hole at the intersection of Main street, formerly Yound street and Beech street.
<br />I:Ian-hole at the intersection of Plain street, formerly Mound street, and Cedar street.
<br />Man -hole at the intersection of Main street, formerly Mound street and Chestnut street.
<br />Plan -hole at the intersection of Main street, formerly Mound street, and Pine street.
<br />Man -hole at the intersection of Main street, formerly IrIound street, at center line
<br />thereof, at center line of Buckeye street extended.
<br />Ilan -hole near the intersection of the center line of fain stree.t,formerly Mound street
<br />and center line of Spruce street extended.
<br />All the hereinabove and hereinbefore mentioned wotk and improvements are to be done in
<br />accordance with the special plans and specifications heretofore adopted for doing said worl..
<br />and improvements by the Board of Trustees of tha Town of Redwood City, on the 21st day
<br />of February, 1916, and now on file in the office of the Clerk of the Town of Redwood City,
<br />to which plans and specifications reference is hereby made for a further description of
<br />said work and improvements anf for further particulars.
<br />Serial bonds bearing interest, at the rate of 7 per cent per annum, and extending over
<br />tin period of 9 years from the second day of January, next succeeding their date, shall
<br />be issued to represent assessments of twenty five ($25) dollars or over for the costs and
<br />expenses of said work and improvements and in manner and form provided by law.
<br />The Town Clerk of said Town of Redwood City is hereby directed to post a notice of said
<br />worm and improvements, together with the plans and specifications therefor, conspicuously
<br />for five days on or near the Council Chamber door, inviting sealed proposals or bids for
<br />doing the work and improvements ordered herein. Said Clerk of the Town of Redwood City is
<br />also directed to publish a notice inviting such sealed proposals or bids, and referring
<br />to the plans andspecifications posted or on file, in the Times -Gazette, a weekly news-
<br />paper published and circulated in swid Tovrn, and hereby designated by the Board of Trusteev
<br />of said Town of Redwood City, for that purpose.
<br />All the herein proposed work and improvements shall be done in pursuance of and in
<br />conformity with an act of the legislature of the State of California,entitled, "Improve-
<br />ment Act of 191111, approved April 7th, 1911, and acts amendatory thereof.
<br />Passed and adopted by the. Board of Trustees of the 'Town of Redwood City,at a regular
<br />adjourned meeting of said Board held on the 13th day of March, 1916, by the following vote:
