<br />I our deep and sincere sympathy for the loss they have suffered by his death, and also extend
<br />to them the sympathy of our community in their hour of sorrow,- and
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,That this RESOLUTION be spread in full upon the minutes of this
<br />` Board and be published in our local papers, and that an engrossed copy thereof, be
<br />presented to his family, and that this meeting ,at the close thereof,stand adjourned out
<br />of respect to the memory of our late associate and;Fireman,Joseph N.Winter.

<br />Geo.A.Merrill be accented,Motion Carried.
<br />Affidavit of D.E.O'-Keefe in the matter of Publishing notice of the General Municipal
<br />Election, and affidavit of W.A.Price,City Clerk in the matter of posting notice of the
<br />General Municipal Election were received and filed on motion of Trustee Me.Nulty,seconded
<br />by Trustee Mabiet,Motion Carried.
<br />This being the time fixed for the canvassing of the returns of the General Municipal
<br />Election held in the Town of Redwood City,on Monday April Sth.1918,Trustee Mc.Nulty
<br />presents the following resolution and moves its adoption,

<br />DECLARING RESULTS OF THE GENERAL Mii1JICIPAL ELECTION HELD APRIL, 8th.19I80
<br />WHEREAS,A General Municipal election was held in the Town of Redwood Oity,County of
<br />Say.. Mateo,State of California,on the 8th.day of April,1918,for the purpose of electing
<br />a C1erk,A TReasurer, and two members of the Board of Trustees of said Town, and
<br />WHEREAS, at said general municipal election there was submitted an initiative
<br />ordinance to a vote of the electors of said Town regulating the sale of liquor in said

<br />WHEREAS said election was conducted according to the general laws of*the State of Oder- io h
<br />California,in so far as the same were applicable; and that the Board of Trustees of said
<br />Town gave such notice of election as prescribed by ordinance and appointed Boards of
<br />Election and established election precincts and polling places; and that said election
<br />was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat were received and canvassed and returns
<br />thereon made in time,form and manner asrequired by law; and
<br />WHEREAS,said Board of Trustees did meet on this 15th.day of April,1918,being the next
<br />Monday succeeding said general municipal eleetion for the purpose of canvassing the vote
<br />cast thereat,whereupoh it was found that the vote easy at said election in the respective
<br />precincts established therefor was as follows;
