Redwood City, Maroh 20th, 19161 7:30,2 -m - <br />Regular Meeting of the Board of Town.Trustees held. <br />Roll Call present, Trustees, President Geo, A. Merrill, Geo. A. Deleau, J. <br />J. Hahir, E. H. Sampson, H. C..Tuohsen, Town Clerk G. C. Plump. <br />On motion of Trustee Deleau, seconded by Trustee Hahir, the reading of the <br />minutes be postponed until next regular meeting. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Hall Rosa addressed the: Board relative to delaying the improvement of <br />Stafford street. The matter was laid over until next meeting. <br />Affidavit of D. E. O'keefe in the matter of Publishing Resolution of Inten- <br />tion No. 28, was on motion of Trustees Hahir and Tuohsen, received and filed. <br />Affidavit of J. C. Dickey, Superintnendent of streets in the matter of <br />posting Resolution of Intention No. 28; was on motion of Trustees Hahir and Deleau received <br />and filed. <br />The following protest was presented by Hall C. Ross. <br />To the Honorable Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City. <br />.Gentlemen: - <br />I Edward MoGary, owner of several pieces of property fronting on what is <br />commonly known as the E1 Camino Real, and also known as the County Road, in the Town of <br />Redwood City, do hereby protest against the doing of certain street work as particularly <br />set forth in that certain Resolution of Intention No. 28, passed by your honorable board <br />on the 28th day of February, 19169 to which Resolution of Intention reference is hereby <br />made for further particulars; and do further protest against the proceedings for the doing <br />of said work, and for grounds of protest thereto allege: <br />�. That the Board of Trustees of the Town of'Redwood City, has no jurisdiction <br />4 to do or order the proposed work, or any part thereof, as mentioned and set forth in said <br />Resolution of Intention. <br />II. That the grades were not properly established prior to the passage of said <br />Resolution of Intention. <br />III. That said Resolution of Intention passed February 28th, 19169 sad the other <br />proceedings in said matter, are illegal and void. <br />IV. That notice of the proposed work specified in said resolution of intention <br />has not been posted and published as required by -the "Improvement Act of 1911", or at all. <br />V. That said E1 Camino Real is now improved and that the public necessity or <br />convenience does not require the doing of the work mentioned and set forth in said reso- <br />lution of intention. <br />WHEREFORE, the undersinged prays that the proceedings for the doing of the <br />work mentioned in said resolution of intention be rescinded and set aside. <br />Dated March 20th, 1916. <br />Edward MoGary. <br />Rose & Ross <br />Attorneys of Protest. <br />J.E.Duoker, representing Mrs. A. Possis addressed the Board and entered <br />a verbal protest to the improvement to be done under Resolution of Intention No. 28. <br />Trustee Deleau presents the following Resolution and moves its adoption, <br />Trustee Hahir seconds the motion. <br />RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTEST. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, did on the 28th <br />day of February, 1916, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 28, to order the following <br />work to be done and improvements to be made in said Town, to -wit: <br />That E1 Camino Real, also known as the County Road, in the Town of Redwood <br />
