Redwood City, Maroh 20th, 19161 7:30,2 -m - Regular Meeting of the Board of Town.Trustees held. Roll Call present, Trustees, President Geo, A. Merrill, Geo. A. Deleau, J. J. Hahir, E. H. Sampson, H. C..Tuohsen, Town Clerk G. C. Plump. On motion of Trustee Deleau, seconded by Trustee Hahir, the reading of the minutes be postponed until next regular meeting. Motion Carried. Hall Rosa addressed the: Board relative to delaying the improvement of Stafford street. The matter was laid over until next meeting. Affidavit of D. E. O'keefe in the matter of Publishing Resolution of Inten- tion No. 28, was on motion of Trustees Hahir and Tuohsen, received and filed. Affidavit of J. C. Dickey, Superintnendent of streets in the matter of posting Resolution of Intention No. 28; was on motion of Trustees Hahir and Deleau received and filed. The following protest was presented by Hall C. Ross. To the Honorable Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City. .Gentlemen: - I Edward MoGary, owner of several pieces of property fronting on what is commonly known as the E1 Camino Real, and also known as the County Road, in the Town of Redwood City, do hereby protest against the doing of certain street work as particularly set forth in that certain Resolution of Intention No. 28, passed by your honorable board on the 28th day of February, 19169 to which Resolution of Intention reference is hereby made for further particulars; and do further protest against the proceedings for the doing of said work, and for grounds of protest thereto allege: �. That the Board of Trustees of the Town of'Redwood City, has no jurisdiction 4 to do or order the proposed work, or any part thereof, as mentioned and set forth in said Resolution of Intention. II. That the grades were not properly established prior to the passage of said Resolution of Intention. III. That said Resolution of Intention passed February 28th, 19169 sad the other proceedings in said matter, are illegal and void. IV. That notice of the proposed work specified in said resolution of intention has not been posted and published as required by -the "Improvement Act of 1911", or at all. V. That said E1 Camino Real is now improved and that the public necessity or convenience does not require the doing of the work mentioned and set forth in said reso- lution of intention. WHEREFORE, the undersinged prays that the proceedings for the doing of the work mentioned in said resolution of intention be rescinded and set aside. Dated March 20th, 1916. Edward MoGary. Rose & Ross Attorneys of Protest. J.E.Duoker, representing Mrs. A. Possis addressed the Board and entered a verbal protest to the improvement to be done under Resolution of Intention No. 28. Trustee Deleau presents the following Resolution and moves its adoption, Trustee Hahir seconds the motion. RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTEST. WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, did on the 28th day of February, 1916, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 28, to order the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said Town, to -wit: That E1 Camino Real, also known as the County Road, in the Town of Redwood
