Motion Carried. <br />The following petition from residents of Redwood Highlands was presented to <br />the Board; - <br />Redwood City,California. <br />• June 17 ,191£ . <br />To the <br />Honorable Board of Trustees <br />of the <br />Town of Redwood City. <br />Gentlemen; <br />There is now in existence and has been in existence for some time past, a hog <br />ranch,just outside -of the Town limits of Redwood City, to_the North. <br />The stench and odor from this ranch has been a continual nuisance and very <br />obnoxious to the residents of this Town and especially to the residents to the South and <br />Southwest of the ranch,even up to the middle of Town. <br />The Bistrict Attorney of San Mateo County has in accordance with his duty to the laN, ` <br />started proceedings to have the hogs removed from this ranch. <br />Application has been made to the Supervisors of the County of San.I,Iateo,for permiss- <br />ion to conduct a hog ranch on the same premises, the application being for a less number <br />of hogs than is kept now, <br />Therefore,we the undersigned,respectfully petition that your body address a <br />resolution to the said Board of Supervisors,requesting that no permit be granted to any <br />party for the purpose of oondu:;ting a hog ranch where the sane is now being conducted or <br />near the Town of Redwood Uity. <br />Respectfully submitted <br />D.E.Ilullen-F.R.Noyes-G.L.Bresse-C.G.Landscheit-G.J.Davis-John Gill-C.M.Doxsee-Nelson <br />Andrews -Ethel X.Mc.
