<br />published and printed in said County of San Mateo daily (excepting Sunday and holidays)and
<br />also in the Redwood City Democrat,a newspaper of general circulation, published and printed
<br />in said Town of Redwood City in said County of Mateo weekly; and
<br />WHEREAS, said Clerk duly caused to be published such notice in said newspapers; and
<br />WHE'RE_iS,thereafter said matter duly came on regularly for hearing before said Board
<br />of Supervisors at the time and place so fixed for such hearing, to -wit; on the Ist.day of
<br />July, 1918, at the hour of IO o'clock A.L. of said day, at t'.e Chambers of said Board in the
<br />Cjunty Cjurthouse in Redwood City,County of San I,lateo,Stato of California,and said Board
<br />duly considered same and no objections or remonstrances of any kind were made to such
<br />annexation; and
<br />WHEREAS,said Board of Supervisors thereupmn,by its Resolution,kid duly consent to the
<br />exution of such new uninhabited territory by'said Town of Redwood. City, and duly diredt-
<br />ed that notice of its action be given to the Board of Trustees of said Town of Redwood
<br />City by the County Clerk of said County,by certified copy of the Resolution of said Bou.rd

<br />Ip WHEREAS, this Board of Trustees has duly received such notice from the County Clerk of
<br />h action by said Board of Supervisors;
<br />,ti NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED 141) ORDS .&D by the Board of Trautees of the Town of ReOoo�
<br />City, that a special election is hereby called and shall be held in said Town of Redwood
<br />City, County of San I,lateo, State of California, on,:.Friday the 19th, day of Jul'T7,1918 , to. submit,
<br />and at which election there shall be submitted to the qualified voters of said Town of
<br />dwrood City the question whether such new 'kninhabited territory, described in said petition
<br />led .^ith said Board on the 17th.day of June,1918,shall be annexed to, included in and
<br />a part of said Town of Redwood City.
<br />Said election shall be field and conducted in conformity with the general laws of
<br />State;df California in so far as the same may be applicable to such elections, and also
<br />!in conformity with the rewm.irements of that certain act of the Legislature of the State of
<br />11jalifornia, entitled, "An Lct to.provide for the alteration of the boundaries of corporate
<br />I -,owns ans cities by the annexation of uninhabited territory thereto, andfor the incorporaticn
<br />i)f such annexed territory in and as a part of such municipality,and for the districting,
<br />goverment and municipal control.of annexed territory"in effect Larch 2,1899, (Statutes of
<br />"899 at page 37)•
<br />Poles at said election shall be open at six o'clock A,11.of the day of election and
<br />e kept open until seven o'clock 2.1%1. of the same day 1*'hen the polls shall be closed.
<br />That for the purpose of said special election, the said Town of Redwood Oity,shall he
<br />and is hereby regularly established as one election precinct, to be known as and designated
<br />"Redwood City Special Election Precinct°,the boundaries of which precinct shall be, and are
<br />Iiereby fixed and established as and at,and co -extensive with the exterior boundaries of
<br />Said Town of Redwood City.
<br />In said precinct, to -wit; said Town of Redv;,00d City, the polls S�;all be held in the Fire
<br />!louse on Main Street near Stambaugh Stre^t in said Town,and on the lower floor thereof,said
<br />place being one of the places where wlections have usually been held in said Town,and being
<br />in said precinct, And the said election :will be conducted by the Inspectors,Judges and
<br />Clerks, respectively, hereinafter nar.,ed,as follows,to wit;
