<br />RBSOLVED', that the said Board of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City hereby rejects all
<br />of said bids except that next therein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing
<br />said work and making said improvements to the lowest responsible bidder,to-wit,
<br />BLANCHARD CROCKER & HOWELL at the prizes named in their bid.
<br />The Town Cke,r$ is hereby directed to post notice of this award conspicuously for five
<br />days,on or near the Council Chamber door of said Board of Trustees of said Town of Redwood
<br />City,and also to publish said notice of award by two insertions in the Times-Gazette,a
<br />weekly newspaper published,printed and circulated in said Town,( there being no daily
<br />or semi-weekly newspaper therein), and hereby designated for that puppose by said Boar'
<br />of Trustees.
<br />Serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum and extending over
<br />a period of nine years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding their date shall be
<br />issued to represent assessments of twenty-five( $ 25 -)dollars or over for In. costs and
<br />expenses of said work and improvements, and in the manner and form provided by law.
<br />All the hereinbefore mentioned and described work and improvements shall be done in
<br />pursuance of and in conformity with an Act of the legislature of the State of California,
<br />entitled;'Improvement Act of IgII'F approved April 7th.Ig1I, and acts amendatory thereof.
<br />Passed and adopted icy the Board of Trustees of the Town. of Redwood City at the hour
<br />of 8-20 o'clock P.Ii. at a regular adjourned meeting of said Board held this 14th.day of
<br />October,Iglg by the following vote;

<br />On motion of Trustee Ble.Nulty,seconded by Trustee Jones,the contract for the construction of
<br />the New Central Fite house be awarded to Fred Marden for the amount of 0 31,251.00 he being
<br />the lowest bidder and the certified checks of the.unsuccesaful bidders be returned,Adlotion
<br />Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Mc.Nulty,seconded by Trustee Kreiss,the Clerk be instructed to
<br />draw a warrant on Webster Street fund in favor of Jos,Tochotti,in the sum of 0 840.00 the
<br />same being partial payment on contract of Webster Street Culvert,also the Clerk be instructed
<br />to draw a warrant on Maple Street Impt,Fund in favor of C.B.Cowden4dn the sum of $ 2500.00
<br />the same being a partial payment on contract of I,Iaple Street Improvements,ndotion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Mc.Nulty,seconded by.trustee Jones and carried the Clerk be instructed
<br />to notify F.?.Towne,Treasurer of the Town of Redwood City to transfer the following'amounts
<br />from the different ffun.ds to the General Fund.

<br />Streets Dearborn and Health Officer Dr.J.B.Chapin represent this Board at the Convention
<br />of the League of California Municipalities at Riverside October 20th to 24th.Iglg,the City
