135 Trustee I9c.Nulty offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, Trustee Kreiss seconds the motion. ��C Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the Torm of Redwood City, THAT WHEREAB,it appears to the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City that in P Local Improvement District No -14 of said Town the first assessment levied by the,Board of Trustees of said Town in 2909 was insufficient to complete said improvement; and WHERM S it further appears to said Board of Trustees that it is necessary to raise App the sum of 2008.94. to complete the improvement in said local Improvement District No.14 h of the Town of Redwood City; and . WHEREAS,it further appears to the Board of Trustees that in a similar deficiency in district No.13 the District Court of Appealof the First Appellate District of the State of California,Division Number One did on the 24.th.day of November,Iglg,issue a Prempetory Writ of Mandate ditected to the Board of Trustees of the Town. of Redwood City directing i them to levy a second assessment on the real property described in said didtrict NO -13 immediatley to collect the amount of said deficiency together with the cost of making said assessment; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that C.L.Dimmitt,be and he is hereby appointed an engineer for the purpose of making,preparing and submitting to this Board of Trustees as assessment upon the real property described'in local Improvement District.No.14. of the Town. of Redwood City in the sum of N 2008.94 together with the costs ,of making said r assessment added thereto. Application from John Harkness of 158 Birch Street this City applying for the p-osition of INSPECTOR on the NEW FIRE HOUSE,if one was required was on motion of Trustee Ryan, seconded.by Trustee Jones,same be, filed for future consideration,11otion Carried. P A communication from the Pratt+Lowe Preserving Company regarding tupplying their plant with water and also asking for Fire protection ;was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee ICLeiss,said communication be received and filed, and the Clerk be instructed to Q write the Pratt -Lowe Company that the City can supply them with all the water they require, and that Fire protection will be given them,I4otion Carried. ��C
