137 <br />i <br />n <br />City Engineer presents his reports in Assessments District No,13 and 14, same were <br />received and filed. <br />Trustee Kreiss offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption,Trustee Jones <br />seconds the motion. <br />WHEREAS the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City did,under the provisions <br />of "T,IB LOCAL IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 190I11by resolution duly adopted,passed and approved <br />on September 7,1909,levy an assessment upon the respective parcels of land within the <br />exterior boundaries of Assessment District No.13 of the Town of Redwood City,to pay For <br />certain work in said municipality and district,to wit; that the roadway of certain streets <br />and portions of streets within said district be graded to the official grade for manad- <br />amizing, and that cement sidewalks and cement curbs i)e constructed thereon, and <br />WHEREAS the said resolution levying the said assessment was confirmed by a resolution <br />of said Board duly adopted,passed and approved on the eifgteenth day of November,2909,and <br />VMREAS the map and list constituting said assessment was thereafter,to wit;on <br />November 26,1909,filed for record in the office of the Tax Collector of said municipality <br />and recorded in the office of the Tax Collector of said municipality and recorded by him <br />according to law in the Book of Street Assesoments at pages 30 to 45,both inclusice, and <br />WHEREAS said first assessment proved insufficient and was and is insufficient to <br />complete the improvement or to pay the contract price and the incidental expenses of the <br />to <br />preceeding, and it appears necessary to raise $ 4590.66/complete the improvement, and <br />WHEREAS the said Board of Trustees by resolution duly adopted,passed and approved on <br />the fifteenth day of December,1929,appointed C.L.Dimmitt,City Engineer of said Town of <br />Redwood City,an engineer for the purpose of making,preparing and submitting to this Board <br />of Trustees an assessment upon the real property described in Assessment District No.13 <br />of the Town of Redwood City,in the sum of $ 4590.66,together with the costs of making said <br />asses -went added thereto, and <br />IVHEREAS said C.L.Dimmitt,City Engineer,so appointed and directed as aforesaid, did <br />this day file with the Clerk of this municipality the report called for by Section 3 of <br />said "LOCAL IMTROVE11ENT ACT OF 1902" annexed to which are the exhibits required by SECtion <br />4 of said Act, and <br />-JHE <br />MAS after the filing of said report of said Engineer as aforesaid this Board of <br />Trustees has considered the same. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that said report of the said C.L.Dimmitt,City Engineer, <br />so appointed as aforesaid,be and the same is hereby adopted and approved as filed. <br />BE It FURTHER RESOLVED that a second and additional assessment is hereby levied upon <br />the lands and subdivisions of the pr operty within said Assessment District No.13,in <br />accordance with the benefits to the lots and lands within the said district and in ac- <br />cordance with the report of said engineer so adopted and approved as aforesaid, and <br />for the pupose aforesaid,in the total sum of $ 4815.66 . <br />And that the map constituting Exhibit 5 of said report shouting said Assessment District <br />No.13 and also the subdivision of the property therein with the dimensions thereof,each <br />of which subdivisions is given a red ink number upon said map and which said map is <br />indentical in all of said and other particulars( except as to scale) with the map forming <br />a part of the original and forst assessment in these proceedings, and the list constituting <br />Exhibit 5 of said report referring to said subdivisions on said map by the respective <br />y red ink numbers thereof and giving the names of the owners if known, -otherwise designating <br />them as unknown,including an estimate of the benefits which each lot or parcel of land <br />within said district has received from said improvements, and ho.,iing in the last column <br />thereof and under the heading 11 Amount of this Second and Additional Assessment" the <br />
