<br />These prices cover delivery F.O.B. cars our works in the Birmingham District, The
<br />present rate of freight from our•works to Redwood City is $ I.19 per one hundred pounds
<br />or 23.80 per ton of two thousand pounds.

<br />Trustee Jones offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption,to-wit;
<br />The Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City does hereby determine and resolve
<br />as follows,to-wit;
<br />Section I. That the public interest and public necessity of said municipality, said
<br />Town of Redwood City, and of the inhabitants thereof,demand the acquisition,constructin
<br />and completion of the following municipal improvement in and for said Town,to-wit;,
<br />The acquiring and construction of a line of railroad or spur track connecting with
<br />the spur track of the Redwood City Harbor Company at the foot of Chestnut'street and
<br />running to the Peninsula Dock and Warehouse property at the foot of Main Street,whieh
<br />property is now being operated by said Town of Redwood City as a Municipal Wharf,
<br />whic4, will give direct railroad connection between the lines of the Southern Pacific
<br />Railroad Company and the Municipal Wharf aforesaid.'
<br />Shat the estimate cost of said work and improvement above referred to is the sum of
<br />Twenty-five($ 25,000) thousand dollars.
<br />Sgetion 2. That the cost of said work and improvement is to great to be paid out of
<br />the Srdinary annual income and revenue of the said Town of Redwood City, and said
<br />improvement will require an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for such im-
<br />provement by the annual tax levy, and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
<br />of the Town of Redwood City to have and secure said improvement to be made,aequired, _
<br />J constructed and established, And said Board of Trustees does hereby determine that all
<br />necessary and proper proceedings be, and the same shall be taken and had as provided

<br />Minutes of the regular meeting held February 2nd.1920 was read and on motion of
<br />Trustee Me.Nulty,seconded by Trustee Sreiss,same be approved as read,Motion.Carried.
<br />Affidavit of Jas.D.Hedge in the matter of calling for sealed bids for a car load of

<br />cast iron pipe was on motion of Trustee Jones,seconded by Trustee Sreiss and carried,
<br />same be received and filed.
<br />The following bid was received for CAST IRON WATER PIPE was publicly opened examined
