<br />RESOLVED, by the Board of TrWiteep President of the Board of Trustees
<br />of the Town of Redwood City, .that of the Town of Redwood City:
<br />whereas, said Board of Trustees here--
<br />tofore and on the 6th day of May, 1918,
<br />did bass Its certain resolution of Inten-
<br />tion No. B-2 to change and re-estab-
<br />lish the grades on Davis street, between
<br />the center line of Oak avenue and the
<br />center line of Roosevelt avenue, In
<br />said Town of Redwood City, in the
<br />manner hereinafter set forth;' and
<br />whereas the aforesaid resolution of in-
<br />tention No. B-2 was duly published and
<br />posted In the manner required by law;
<br />and whereas the Superintendent of
<br />Streets heretofore .caused notices of
<br />the passage of said resolution of in-
<br />tention- No. B-2 to be conspicuously
<br />posted in the manner provided by law;
<br />and whereas,•said Superintendent of
<br />Streets also caused a notice similar
<br />In substance to be published by two
<br />Insertions in the Tlmes-Gazette„ a
<br />weekly newspaper published and print-
<br />ed in said Town, there being no dally
<br />newspaper therein, the first publica-
<br />tion of said notice of the passage of
<br />said resolution of Intention No. B -'L
<br />being on the 11th day of May, 1918, and
<br />whereas no protests against the modl-
<br />ficatlon and change of grades therein
<br />proposed have been filed with the Clerk
<br />of said Town of Redwood City, aid
<br />the time for filing such protests has
<br />expired:
<br />NOW THEREFORE It is hereby or.
<br />dered and directed that the official
<br />grades on Davis street, between the
<br />center line of Oak avenue and the
<br />enter line of Roosevelt aevnue, In said
<br />Town of Redwood City, be and the same
<br />are hereby changed and re-established
<br />so that such grades, and the eleva-
<br />tions in feet above the Redwood City
<br />base at tine points hereinafter men-
<br />tioned, shall be as follows, to -wit:'
<br />22 feet above base at center line of
<br />Oak evenue at center line of Davie -
<br />street extended at center line of Oak
<br />avenue.
<br />19.7 feet above base at center line of
<br />Davis street,at southeasterly property
<br />line of Roosevelt avenua extended
<br />across said Davis street.
<br />20.4 feet above base at center of ,
<br />Roosevelt avenue at center line of
<br />Davis street extended to center line
<br />of Roosevelt avenue.
<br />The grades on said street between
<br />the points at which elevations are es-
<br />tablished or re-established herein, will
<br />lie evenly on a straight line connect -
<br />Ing consecutive points. The grade at
<br />the top of the -curbs on both sides of
<br />the street shall at all points be even
<br />with the grades In the center of the
<br />street as established or re-established
<br />herein.
<br />,The grades at the gutter on both .
<br />aides of the street shall at all points
<br />he six Inches below the grades at the
<br />top of the curbs as established or re•
<br />established herein.
<br />The base which the elevations and
<br />grades herein referred to have ref-
<br />erence is mean high water of the San
<br />Francisco Bay, compared to which the
<br />top of that cortSin granite monument
<br />marked "G.B." placed in that certain
<br />triangular piece of land In the Town
<br />of Redwood City, the property of said
<br />Town, and bounded by Main street, for-
<br />merly Mound street, Beech street and
<br />the Southern Pacific Railroad Company
<br />right-of-way, which said monument is
<br />located In said piece of land at a
<br />point 6.6 feet easterly from a point
<br />In the easterly line of Main street,
<br />formerly Mound street, which last mer-
<br />tioned point 19- 60.6 feet northerly in
<br />said easterly line of Main street, for-
<br />merly Mound street from the northerly
<br />line of Beech street Is hereby estab-
<br />lished and declared to be 12.6 feet
<br />above mean high water of the She
<br />Francisco Bay.
<br />All the herein proposed work and
<br />changes of grades are done in pursu-
<br />ance of an Act of the Legislature of I
<br />the State of California, entitled, "An
<br />Act to Provide for Changing or Modi-
<br />fying the Grade of Public streets,
<br />Lanes, Alleys, Courts or other places
<br />within municipalities," approved April
<br />21st, 1909.
<br />And it Is further ordered that this
<br />Resolution shall be published, once In
<br />the Times -Gazette, a weekly news-
<br />paper published, printed and circulat-
<br />ed In said Town of Redwood City and
<br />shall take effect and be In force from
<br />and after Its passage.
<br />Passed and adopted as a Resolution
<br />of the Board of Trustees of the
<br />Town of Redwood City, at a reg-
<br />ular meeting of said Board held
<br />on the 20th day of January,
<br />1919, by the following vote:
<br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of
<br />the foregoing Resolution, Trustees,
<br />Geo, W. McNulty, J. C. Donee, GeO. A.
<br />Krelss, Carl IL Mable.
<br />Noes and against the passage of the
<br />foregoing, Resolution, Trustees, None.
