<br />a medical or surgical office wherein is
<br />carried on the practice of medicine or,
<br />surgery, the -sum of three ($3.00) dol-
<br />lars a quarter.
<br />22. For the business of keeping and
<br />conducting a law office, wherein the
<br />business of practicing law Is carried
<br />on In said Town the sum of three ($3.00)
<br />a quarter.
<br />23. For the business of printing and
<br />publishing a newspaper and doing gen-
<br />eral printing work In said Town the
<br />sum of five ($6.00) dollars a quarter.
<br />24. For the business of carrying on
<br />and conducting the business of job
<br />printing In said Town the sum of three
<br />,($3.00) dollars a quarter.
<br />26. For the business of a•traveling
<br />or Itinerant carpet cleaner, going from
<br />house to house cleaning carpets or oth-
<br />er furniture by use of, machinery or
<br />otherappliances the sum of five ($6.00)
<br />dollars a quarter.
<br />26. For the business of making, rp-
<br />pairing or cleaning automobile tops or
<br />side curtains the sum of three ($3.00)
<br />dollars a quarter.
<br />27. For the business of tailoring' or
<br />keeping and conducting a tailor shop
<br />the sum of three ($3.00 dollars a quar-
<br />ter.
<br />-28. For the business, of conducting
<br />an automobile garage or shop for re-
<br />pairs of automobiles or a vulcanizing
<br />business or a battery charging business
<br />where not more than two persons are
<br />employed the sum of five ($6.00) dol-
<br />lars a quarter, and one dollar a quarter
<br />additional for each additional person
<br />20. For the business of Qondueting a I
<br />cyclery, the sum of five ($6.00) dollars i

<br />30. Photographers having perman-
<br />ent places of business in said Town the
<br />sum of three ($3.00) a quarter; Itinerant
<br />photographers or those doing business
<br />for a short period .of time, the sum of,
<br />$2.60 a day.
<br />31. For the business" of repairing
<br />watches, jewelry and other similar ar-
<br />ticles where the business Is not such as
<br />to be rated under Section 7 of this or-
<br />dinance, the sum, of three ($3.00) dol-
<br />lars a quarter.
<br />32. For the business of repairing
<br />shoes or conducting a shoe repair shop
<br />the sum of three ($3.00), dollars a quar-
<br />ter.
<br />33. For the business of conducting
<br />an Ice house or ice business the sum of
<br />ten ($10) dollars a quarter or any frac-
<br />tion thereof.
<br />34. For the business of keeping a
<br />barber shop the sum of one ($1.00) a
<br />quarter for each chair In use.
<br />36. For any person peddling tickets
<br />to apply In whole or in part payment
<br />of photographs or frames, or soliciting
<br />orders for the same, or for soliciting for
<br />frames or enlarged or retouched photo-
<br />graphs, the sum of Three ($3.00) dol-
<br />lars a day.
<br />36. For the business of bill posting
<br />or advertisements $2.60 a quarter.
<br />361h. For the business of undertak-
<br />ers $6.00 a quarter.
<br />37. Every -person who 1n said Town
<br />engages in or carries on the business of
<br />corn doctor, hawker, traveling mer-
<br />chant, street faldr, astrologer, fortune
<br />teller, medium, or clairvoyant shall pay
<br />a license tax of five $(6.00) dollars aday
<br />or twenty-five ($26.00) dollars a week.
<br />or seventy -ave ($76) dollars a quarter.
<br />38. Every vendor of maps, charts,
<br />books and other articles of like char.
<br />acter shall pay a license tax of one
<br />($1.00) dollar a day or fifteen dollars a
<br />quarter.
<br />39. Every person who vends or pad-
<br />dies vegetables, berries, fish, or fruits
<br />shall pay a license tax of ten ($10) dol-
<br />lars a quarter, provided, that a person
<br />who peddles fruits, vegetables or ber-
<br />ries which are his own production ex-
<br />clusively, shall not be required to pay a
<br />license.
<br />40. For engaging In the business of
<br />a chiropodist, osteopathist, ontometrist,
<br />optician, or occullst the sum of three
<br />($3.00) dollars a quarter.
<br />41. For the business of carrying on
<br />or conducting a carriage, auto or sign
<br />painting shop where only one person
<br />Is employed three ($3.00) dollars a
<br />quarter, and one ($1.00) dollar a quar-
<br />ter for each additional person employ-
<br />ed.
<br />42. Every person who conducts or
<br />carries on the, business of selling and
<br />delivering milk or cream by wage",
<br />cart or other vehicle to more than five
<br />customers shall pay a license tax of
<br />ftve ($6.00) a quarter.
<br />43. Every person, firm or corpora-
<br />tion who conducts the business of sell -
<br />Ing and delivering ice cream In said
<br />Town shall pay a license tax of $vo
<br />($6.00) dollars a quarter.
<br />44, Every person, firm or corpora-
<br />tion who carries on the business of
<br />selling and delivering bread in said
<br />Town shall pay a license tax of Five
<br />($6.00) dollars a quarter.
<br />46. For the business of delivering
<br />any goods, wares, furniture, or mer-
<br />chandise where the person delivering
<br />does not pay a license under any other
<br />provision of this ordinance $500 a
<br />quarter.
<br />SECTION 10. All licenses granted
<br />under this ordinance or any section
<br />thereof, are granted and accepted by
<br />all parties feceiving said licenses with
<br />the express understanding that the
<br />Board of Trustees may revolts the same
<br />at any time if satisfied that any of the
<br />conditions of the license or terms of
<br />this ordinance have been violated or
<br />that the license was obtained by fraud-
<br />ulent representations, or that the hol-
<br />der of such license Is in unfit person to
<br />trusted with the privileges granted
<br />Bald license; provided, however, that
<br />�no license shall be revoked without
<br />I giving the holder thereof an oppor-
<br />j tun ity to appear before the Board of
<br />Trustees In his own behalf. On revoc.
<br />ation of a license no part of the money
<br />paid therefor shall be returned but
<br />Buell license fee shall be forfeited to the
<br />Town.
