<br />named are and the same are hereby fix-
<br />ed as follows;
<br />1, For the business of acting as as
<br />Auctioneer, $12.60 a quarter or $2.50 a
<br />day, provided that If the person by or for
<br />whom the nuetloneering is done Is not
<br />Permanently located In business In said
<br />Town of Redwopa City as in this ord-
<br />inance provided, the license tax is $10.00
<br />-a day; and Provided further that a per-
<br />son duly licensed under this section
<br />shall not permit any other person not
<br />so licensed to conduct an auction under
<br />his license.
<br />2, For the business of keeping a the-
<br />atre, opera house, Or public hall or
<br />Place where theatrical 'performances
<br />or entertainments or moving picture
<br />shows are given, the sum of Twenty -
<br />ave ($26) dollars a quarter or any frac-
<br />tion thereof
<br />3. For the business of giving theat-
<br />( deal performances or entertainments in
<br />Zany tent or in any Place other than a
<br />place for which a quarterly license Is,
<br />paid as Provided in.tho next Preceding
<br />subdivision, the sum of $10.00 a day or
<br />$40 a week, and If more than one per-
<br />formance or exhibition is given in one
<br />day $2.50 additional for each additional
<br />performance, and any act or exhibition
<br />for which a separate fee Is charged
<br />shall be deemed,an additional perform-
<br />ance. Por each exhibitiono; minstrels,
<br />opera singers or concert singers the li-
<br />cense shall be the same as required for
<br />theatrical performances.
<br />4. For the business of conducting or
<br />exhibiting any circus caravan, men-
<br />agerie or any collection of animals or
<br />any acrobatic performance, the sum of
<br />thirty-five ($35) dollars a'day. For
<br />each show,for Pay of any Panorama,
<br />fl=,es, Jugglers, necromancers, ma-
<br />gicians, wire or rope dancing or slight
<br />of hand performance, or any other side
<br />show, and for each stand, tent or place
<br />for egg throwing, throwing rings for
<br />canes, knives or other articles; throw -
<br />Ing balls or other articles at "negro
<br />babies" or other objects, the sum of
<br />five ($6,00) dollars a day each; and
<br />whenever a separate admission price or
<br />any separate fee Is charged, each place
<br />where such price or fee is charged!
<br />must be considered a separate show or
<br />side show.
<br />5. For the business of conducting or
<br />exhibiting any show where the exhibit -
<br />ton consists solely _of trained animals
<br />the sum of fifteen ($16.00), dollars a day
<br />and the provisions of the last preceding
<br />subdivision of this section respecting
<br />side sbows and other places where a
<br />separate charge Is made shall apply to
<br />the shows mentioned in this subdivis-
<br />ion.
<br />( 6. For the business of operating or
<br />I conducting any flying horses or marry -
<br />go -round five ($5.00) a day or any frac-
<br />tion thereof,
<br />7. For the business of operating or,
<br />running any dray or other vehicle
<br />moved by muscalar power for the
<br />transportation of'frelght or other goods
<br />and materials for hire, the sum of $1.60
<br />a quarter for each one horse dray so
<br />used, and $2.00 a quarter for each two
<br />horse dray so used; and for the busi-
<br />ness of Operating or running any motor
<br />truck or other vehicle moved by other
<br />than muselar power for the
<br />transportation of freight, furniture,
<br />lumber, or any other. goods or mater-
<br />ints for hire, the sum of $2.50 a, quarter
<br />for each truck or other such vehicle so'
<br />used of the capacity of two and one-
<br />half tons or less, and if the 'capacity ex-
<br />ceeds two and one-half tons the sum of
<br />one dollar ($1.00) a quarter for each ad-
<br />ditlonal ton' capacity or fraction there-
<br />of. Each of 'said drays or vehicles so
<br />used shall be distinguished by num-
<br />bers, to be furnished by the Town
<br />Clerk without cost to the owner, which,
<br />numbers shall be placed by the owner
<br />upon such vehicle in such manner that
<br />It can be plainly seen and distinguished'
<br />whether such vehicle Is in motion ort
<br />not, and said numbers shall be removed,
<br />by the owner upon the expiration of the f
<br />license therefor. 1
<br />S. (a) For the business of conducting,
<br />or operating laundries or wash hous
<br />es In said Town and for each person,
<br />firm or corporation who shall solicit
<br />In said Town, laundry work or orders
<br />therefor, not to be done within said.
<br />Town, the sum of seven dollars ant'
<br />tlfty cents ($7.50) a quarter, provided i
<br />no license shall be required where
<br />washing Is done at a private residence,
<br />(b) For the business of keeping any
<br />dyeing or cleaning establishment or
<br />carrying on the business of dying or
<br />cleaning or soliciting for such bust-!
<br />nese the sum of seven dollars and fifty,
<br />cents ($7._60) a quarter.
<br />0. For the business of keeping or
<br />conducting a hotel the license fee shall
<br />be as follows'
<br />Class A. For a hotel of less than
<br />twenty-five rooms, the sum of eight
<br />($0.00) dollars a quarter.
<br />Class 13. For a hotel of twenty-five
<br />rooms, or more, the sum of twelve deb
<br />lars and fifty cents ($12.60) per quar-
<br />ter.
<br />10. For the business of keeping or
<br />conducting a lodging house the license
<br />fee shall be as follows:
<br />Class (a) For a house of five rooms
<br />or more, but less .than ten rooms, the
<br />sum of three ($3.00) dollars It quarter.
<br />Class (b) For a house of ten rooms
<br />or more but less than twenty rooms the
<br />sum of four ($4.00) dollars a quarter.
<br />Class (c) For a house of twenty
<br />rooms or more the sum of seven dol-
<br />lars and fifty cents ($7.50) a quarter.
<br />11. For the -business of keePing and
<br />conducting a restaurant the sum of sev-
<br />en dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) a quar-
<br />ter.
<br />12. For the business of real estate
<br />agent, or buying or selling or other-
<br />wise dealing In real Property, on com-
<br />mission or for a compensation, whether
<br />In an office or fixed place of business or
<br />on the street, the sum of ten ($10) dol-
<br />lars per year, or any fraction thereof,
<br />for each person so engaged; and any
<br />person negotiating or arranging for a
<br />transfer of real property, or bringing
<br />together the vendor and vendee of real
<br />property and receiving a commission or
<br />compensation therefor, shall for the
<br />purpose of this section, be deemed to be
<br />'engaged as a real estate agent, provid-
<br />ed that where more than one Person
<br />constitutes or Is employed'by any firm,
<br />company or corporation only one 'li-
<br />cense to,, of $10 per year shall be re-
<br />quired.
<br />13. For the business of conducting
<br />or operating any warehouse used for
<br />the storage of any, furniture, merchan-
<br />dise or goods of ether Persons for ptof-
<br />it the sum of five ($6.00) a quarter.
<br />'14. For the business of engaging In
<br />or conducting a blacksmith and horse -
<br />shooing shop three i$&00) dollars a
<br />quarter.
<br />15. For the business of engaging 1n
<br />or conducting a horso shoeing shop the
<br />sum of three ($3.00) a quarter.
