moved by Trustee Tuchsen, seconded by Trustee Kreiss and carried it be the sense of this <br />Board to begin the building of the SPUR TRACK as soon as the clause referred to be elimated <br />from the deed given the City by the S.H.Frank Company, <br />Communication from T.Ahern Supt,of the Coast Division of Southern Pacific Company <br />stating that the contract for Broadway and Thin Street crossings had been awarded and the <br />work would commence at as early date as possible,the same was filed on motion of Trustee <br />Tuchsen seconded by Trustee Kreiss. <br />Application of Redw;od City Post I05 American Legion for a permit to hold boxing <br />matches in Alhambra Hall September 14th.1920 was granted on motion of Trustee Tuchsen, <br />seconded by Trustee Kreiss. <br />Application of Court I,Iadrone § 158 F.of A.for a permit to hold a threeao'clock dance <br />in Forester's Hall September 25th.1920 same was granted on motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded <br />by Trustee Tuchsen. <br />1. <br />Application of the Elite Club for a permit to hold a three o'clock dance in Forester's <br />Hall on Saturday evening Octoh.er 9th.1920'said permit was granted on motion of Trustee <br />Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Tuchsen. <br />Application of G.Casaretto for a permit to hold a I2 o'clock dance on September 18th. <br />1920,same was granted on motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Tuchsen. <br />Application of Nelle L.Iliramontes for permission to take one week leave of absence <br />during the month of September or October was granted on motion of Trustee Kreiss,secondect <br />b;r Trustee Tuchsen. <br />Report of Plumbing Inspector Wm.P.Hogan for month of August 1920 was received and filed <br />on motion of Trustee Kreiss,seconded by Trustee Tuchsen. <br />Application of the Pacific Gus & Electric Company for permission to set poles on Hill <br />Ave as shown on BLUE PRINT § 408-R.same was granted i�n motion of Trustee Kreiss,secondeci <br />by Trustee Tuchsen. <br />Application of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company for permission to set poles on <br />Neveda Street and Hopkins Ave as shown on BLUE PRINT 410-R was on motion of Trustee <br />Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Kreiss same be granted,i1otion Carried. <br />The following bids were received for.supplying tools for the Fire Department; - <br />Hull Bros--------- y; •169.00 <br />Gray-Thorning Lbr.Co I77.70 <br />R.O.Holmquist------ 162.70 <br />On motion of Trustee Tuchsen,seconded by Trustee Kreiss the bid be awarded to R.C. <br />Holmquist in the amount of � 162.70 he being the lowest bidder.Motion Carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Tuchsen, seconded by Trustee Kreiss the final payment of Fred Warden <br />on the NEW FIRE HOUSE be laid over until next meeting.Motion. Carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Tuchsen, seconded by Trustee Kreiss, the Supt.of Streets be <br />instructed to install a water trough for horses in Roosevelt Park,1Iotion Carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Tuchsen, seconded by Trustee Kreiss, the City Engineer be instructed <br />to survey the site of the Main Street Fire House,Motion Carried. <br />Trustee Tuchsen offers the following Ordinance No.2I2 and moves its adoption,Trustee <br />Kreiss seconds the motion, <br />ORDINANCE NO. 212. <br />AN ORDINANCE fixing the amount of money to be raised by taxation upot.the taxable property <br />within the Town of Redwood City,as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said <br />Town for the current year 1920-192I,and to pay the bonded indebtedness of said Town falling <br />due and becoming payable during said year with the interest thereon. <br />0 <br />215 <br />f <br />
