<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees,President G.JV.McNulty,Carl g.Iffabie,H.A.Beeger.,

<br />Minutes of regular and regular adjourned meetings held June Igth.26th, and July 3rd.
<br />IOth.17th. 2¢ th. 1922 were read and on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Beeger,
<br />and carried said minutes be approved as read.
<br />A petition consisting of twenty nine names of property owners facing on Roosvelt
<br />Avenue protesting against the improvement of Roosevelt Avenue at this time was presented
<br />to the Board and on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried said
<br />petition be received and filed.

<br />After considerable debate by signers of the petition it was on motion of Trustee
<br />Ryan,seconded by Trustee Mabie,Resolution No.D-5 be dropped and the Uity Engineer be
<br />instructed to proceed with the preparing of Plans and Specifications for the improving of
<br />k
<br />Roosevelt Avenue from curb to curb,Motion Carried.

<br />Louis J..Coffey appeared before the Board and presented a complaint against the
<br />Peninsula Rapid Transit Company ,who he claims is discriminating against this City by
<br />I
<br />refusing to accept passengers for this City do their busses at San Francisco,it was on
<br />i
<br />on motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Ryan,the Clerk write the Railroad Commiss-
<br />ioners,stating the facts, and requesting them to take the matter up worth the Rapid Transit
<br />i
<br />Company, and compel them to give the service to this City that is called for in their
<br />permit,Motion Carried.

<br />Application of the Pacific'Gas & Electric Company for a permit to set one pole,
<br />and contact on two poles of the City ori. Hamilton Street,as per BLUE PRINT # 6¢6-R,was on
<br />Notion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Ryan,same be granted.Motion Carried.
<br />Communication from the Redwood City Fire Department asking the Board to have an
<br />Ordinance drawn up requiring all property owners to burn the grass off their vacant lots

<br />before the,dry grass season next year;was on motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee
<br />Ryan,same be received and filed, Motion Carried.
<br />Application of Bonita Parlor No.XO,N.D.G.IV. for a permit to hibld a one o'clock
<br />dance in Foresters Hall Saturday evening,August I2th#I922,was granted on motion of Truste•i
<br />Beeger,seconded by Trustee Mabie and carried.
<br />Application ,of Harry'A.Scott for a permit to hold a I2 o'clock dance in I.O.O.F.
<br />Hall on August IOth.16th. and Igth.1922,was granted on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded
<br />by Trustee Beeger.and carried.
<br />Claim in the amount of 0 29,00 from the Railroad Commissioners for the inspection
<br />of the,City-Street Lighting system was on motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee
<br />Beeger said claim be referred to the City Attorney,to be reported back at next meeting,
<br />Motion Carried.

<br />On motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Beeger, the 'Chairman and clerk be
<br />authorized to sign a warrant for the amount of whatever is short of the two hundred dollarw
<br />isa collected to entertain the Fire�Chiefs and their wives in this city,11otion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Pdabie,seconded by Trustee Beeger, the Fire Department be
<br />given permission to take the new Fire Pumper Engine to San Francisco on the evening of
<br />August 15th.to participate in the Fire Chief Parade.Motion Carried.
<br />Moved by Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Mabie and carried, the Truck Drivers
<br />of the Fire Department be given one day off each creek.
