<br />Regular adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees held.
<br />Upon roll call there were presnt,Trustees;-President GoWelleldulty,C.K.Ilabie,H,A,Beeger,
<br />M,E,Ryan,Clerk.W,A.Price.A.bsent Trustee A.E.Monteith.
<br />The minutes of the regular meetings of August 20th.1923 and the adjourned meeting of
<br />August 27th.1923 and the regular meeting of September 4th. and 17th.1923 and the adjourned
<br />meeting of September 24th.1923,were read and upon motion of TrgLstee Ryan,seconded by 6
<br />Trustee Ilabie approved as read. 11otion Carried.
<br />Upon motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Mabie and carried the reading -of tlx.:
<br />minutes of meetings of October Ist.and 15th,I923,was dispensed with until the next meeting,
<br />Application of the Kappa Omegga of Sequoia High School for a permit to hold a twelve
<br />o'clock dance at womants Club House granted on motion of Trustee Jdabie,seconded by Trustee
<br />Ryan and carried.
<br />.Affidavit of Jas.D.Hedge in the matter of publishing Ordinance No.238 calling a special
<br />election,was received and on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee beeger a.:d carrieG,
<br />same was filed.
<br />Affidavit of TI.A.Price,City Clerk,in the matter of notifying the members of tIn Boards
<br />of Election of the Special election held in said Town of Redwood City,October 16th.1923 of
<br />thsir appointment,said affidavit s]3owing that said notices were in uniting and specified
<br />the appointment,place of election,day of election,hour of election .Mnd were all respects made
<br />made and given as required by law,was on motion of Trustee I.2abie,seconded by Trustee Beegez
<br />and carried,received and filed.
<br />This being the time fixed for the canvassing of the returns of the Special Municipal
<br />Election held in the Town of Redwood City on the 26th.day of October,1923,which election
<br />f,

<br />was held pursuant to notice of said election duly and given and publsihed as reguired by
<br />law and the order of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City. The Board of
<br />Trustees then examined the returns as delivered by the Clerk ad found the same properly
<br />sealed. The Board then proceeded to canvass said returns in public by opening the returns
<br />and examining the vote of each proposition voted for at said special election, and declared
<br />the., result as follows,to-wit;
<br />That -the total number of votes cast at said election was and is five hundred and sixty
<br />five(565)-

<br />marked "Nott and against said proposition (a) was and is one hundred and sixty seven(167);
<br />And it ap•,�earing from said returns that the number of votes marked" Yes" and in favor of
<br />said pr3position Cb) was and is four hundred and twenty six(426), and that the number of
<br />votes marred "NO" and against said proposition(b) was and is one hundred and nineteen(I29);
