Upon roll call there were present Trustees President H.A.Beeger,C.K.Mabie,A.E.Monteith, M.E.Ryan,Clerk W.A.Price.Absent Trustee G.W.McNulty. On motio4. of Trustee Monteith, seconded by Trustee Ryan and carried,the minutes. of meeting held July 7th.1924 be approved as read. Moved by Trustee Monteith,seconded by Trustee Ryan and carried, the City Engineer be instructed to draw up Plans and Specifications for the improvement of southerly hal=f of Harrison.Avenue,between Adams and Cleveland Streets. On motion of Trustee Montaith,seconded by Trustee Ryan, Chairman Beeger be authorized to sign the application for a play ground ,to the Harmon Foundation of New York, and the Board to do all they could to secure the play ground,Motion Carried. ApplJa ation of Redwood Nest # 1484,Order of Owls for a permit to hold a Hance in Odd Fellows Hal l,Saturday evening August gth.1924 w48 on motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Monteith and carried same be granted. Moved by Trustee Byan,seconded by Trustee Mabie, the application of the Valley Electric Company for a Electrical contractor License be granted.Motion Carried. Agreement of Gordan Rowe Company for the balancing of the books for the closing of the fiscal year, and starting new system was on motion of Trustee Monteith,seconded by Trustee Mabie same be received and filed.Motion Carried. Communication from H.W.B.Taylor asking the payment of 0 397.00 for cost in the action of the Redwood Highlands Company and Town of Redwood City was on motion of Trustee Mabie, seconded by Trustee Monteith,same be referred to the City Attorney to answer.][otion Carried. A bill from the Redwood Highlands Company in the amount of $ 253,43 fo` assessments paid under protest for assessment Districts No.13-14 was on motion of Trustee Monteith,seconded by Trustee Ryan and carried same be referred to the City Attorney for adjustment. Chairman Beeger in behalf of Mrs.J.H.Doolittle and her son presented to the Uity a large American flag,on motion of Trustee Monteith,seconded by Trustee Ryan and carried same be accepted with 'thanks, and the Clerk write and thank them for same. Moved by Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Mabie and carried, Chairman Beeger be authorized to purchase a flag pole, and have same installed in the City Hall grounds. Request of Nelle L.11iramontes for two weeks vacation,was on motion of Trustee Ryan, seconded by Trustee Mabie and carried same be granted.
