<br />seoondedcby Trusitee Mabis said minutes be dispensed with until neat regular meeting.

<br />Broadway;Extension.
<br />Dear Sirs:- r C
<br />we your committee appointed to obtain data relative to the extension of
<br />Broadway through to Walnut and Spring Stso beg leave to report as follows: -
<br />Mrs Mary.Rioe owner of a portion of Lots 12 and 21 and 13 and 22 in Blook 17
<br />having a frontage of 60 feet on Broadway, will sell her property for the sum of 945.000,00
<br />Messers Follmer and Rhodes, owners of 25 feet of lots 12 and 21 in Block 179
<br />will sell same for the sum of $20.000.00.
<br />'fin. J. Dasel, owner of Block 16 in Sweeney addition will give a right of way
<br />through his block if satisfactory arrangements can be made so that portion of Spring
<br />Street direotly worth of Block lb be closed and exchanged to him for that portion of
<br />Block 16 that would be used for the Broadwafr kxtention.
<br />Mr E. Dawson, a tenant in the Mrs Rice building holds a lease and rights
<br />thereunder for•the sum of 41000.00.
<br />Mr White and associates, conducting a Cafe in the Ries block hold a lease
<br />for a term and will be willing to surrender their lease and rights thereunder for the
<br />sum of $5000.00. They having investment of 0$500.00 and believe that they -could salvage
<br />43500.00 were they to move out but felt they should receive cash to the amount of their
<br />investment* if this is not satisfactory they would bw willing to place the matter in thu
<br />hands of an arbitration committee to arrive at a fair settlement, as they do not wish
<br />to stand in the way of any City development.
<br />Ryans Drug Store hold a lease in the mice Block and will surrender same upon
<br />the payment of 45000.00.
<br />The method of financing this project might be handled in several ways,
<br />1st, A bond issue to cover cost of the project to be paid in annual payments,
<br />2nd, A bond issue for a portion of the cost and the formation o3 an assessment
<br />district taking in a certain pottion of the city adjacent to the property.
<br />3rd, The formation of an assessment district taking in practically the whole
<br />of Redwood City, the property being assessed according to the benlfits to be received.

<br />Moved by Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Monteith, the report of the Redwood City
<br />of having
<br />Planning Commission/approved the plans of the proposed Wharf an Redwood Creek at Broadway
<br />.of Messes A,J.Fromm, and tl,B,Gardiner be received and filed. Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee M'aNulty, seconded by Trustee Monteith, the sum of 4150.00 be donated
<br />to the N.S. And N*D.G.W* towards the.Diamond Jubiloe fund. Motion carried.
<br />Affidavit of Jas D. Hedge in the matter of Publishing, and the Affidavit of C.L.Dimmitt
<br />Supt of Streets in the matter of posttng street improvements (Fulton, Cleveland and other Sts)
<br />under Resolution of Intention No. H-13, was on motion of Trustee Mabie, seconded by Trustee
<br />McNulty, same be received and filed. Motion carried,
<br />Trustee Monteith offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption,'Trustes Mabis
<br />seconds the motion. Motion carried.
