The Town Clerk of the Town of Redwood City is hereby directed to post a notice of said
<br />work and improvements together with the plans, profiles and specifications therefor, cons-
<br />picuously for five (5)days on or near the Council Chamber door of said Board of Trustees
<br />of said Town inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and making the improve-
<br />ments ordered. Said Town Clerk is also directed and ordered to publish a notice inviting
<br />sealed proposals or his bids and referring to the plans, profiles and specification posted
<br />or on file in the Redwood City Standard, a weekly newspaper published, printed and circul-
<br />ated in said Town. therebeing on daily or semi-weekly newspaper published or circulated
<br />therein, for the period required by law, said newspaper being hereby designated for that
<br />purpose by said Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood Ci".
<br />Passed and adopted by the board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City at a regular
<br />adjourned meeting of said Board held on the 31st day of August, 1925, by the following vote;

<br />To the Honorable Board of Trustees,
<br />of the Town of Redwood City,San Mateo Co, Calif.
<br />Gentlemen: -
<br />The Redwood Highlands Company, a corporation, does hereby object to and
<br />protest against the making of the improvements provided for by your Resolution of
<br />Intention No.H-1¢, passed on the 10th day of august, 1925, and for cause of object-
<br />ion states;
<br />That -'said corporation is owner of all those certain lots of land, situated
<br />lying and being in the Town of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California,
<br />particulary described as follows:
<br />Lots 6,7, and 8 in Block 79 as shown on Map of Oak Knoll Manor Tract; Lots
<br />7,8,9,10, and Northwest one-half of lot 12. in Block 3, as shown on Map of Oak Knoll
<br />Manor Tract; Lots 1,2,3,4 5,6 7,8,9. and 10 in Block 45; Lots 1(}�,2,3,4,6,8,9, and 10 in
<br />Block 44 Lots 1,2,3,¢,5,�,7,A, and 9, in Block 39; Lots 192949. in Block 38; Lotel,
<br />2,3,4.5,6,8, and 10, in Block 33, as said lots and Blocks are shown on Map of Redwood
<br />Highlands.
<br />That'the nature of the'title'of said corporation'to said real property is that
<br />of owner, that said corporation objects to and protests against said improvements upon
<br />the following grounds.
<br />1:- That said lots 6 and 9 in Block 7, and 8.9, and Notthwest one-half of
<br />lot:12, in Block 3, as shown on Map of Oak Knoll Manor, lots 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10 in
<br />Block 45, lots 3.¢ 6,8, and 10 in Block 44, lots 3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9, in Block39; lots
<br />4 and b in Black 3�, Lots 3.415,6,89 and 10 in Block 33; as shown on map of Redwood
<br />Highlands, are not to be benefited by work on Whipple Avenue, and therefore the assess
<br />ment district should not include all or any of said lots.
<br />2:- That said Whipple avenue has heretofore had a rock pavement and that
<br />therefore the work proposed is not necessary.
<br />3:- That during the past two years your Honorable Board has caused a large
<br />extent of street improvement to be done within the said Oak Knoll Manor and Redwood
<br />Highlands tracts and this corporation for such work has been assesed and expended and
