Motion carried, <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING.THE WORK N0, H-16. <br />RESOLVED, that whereas, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, did, on the <br />8th day of September, 1925, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. H-16 to order the <br />hereinafter described work to be done and improvements to be made in said Town of Redwood <br />City, which Resolution of Intention No. H-16 was duly and legally published as required by <br />law as appears from the affidavit of J. D. Hedge, now on file in the office of the Clerk <br />of said Town; and <br />WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. H-16, headed, <br />"NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT" were duly and legally posted along the line of said contemplated work <br />and improvements and in front of all property liable to be assessed therefor in time, 2)rm, <br />manner and number as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of C. L. Dimmitt, Super. <br />intendant of Streets of the Town of Redwood City and now on file in the office of the Clerk <br />of said Town; and <br />WHEREAS, it appear from the said affidavit of C. L. Dimmitt, Superintendent of Streets <br />hereinbefore referred to herein that the posting of the notices of the passage of said Reso. <br />lution of Intention No. H-16 as aforesaid was completed on the 21st day of September, 1925; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No. H-16 and in the notices of the <br />passage thereof so posted as aforesaid, said Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City <br />fixed Monday the 5th day of October, 1925, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. of said day <br />at the meeting place of the Board of Trustees in the Council Chamber in the Town Hall on <br />Webster street in said Town of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, as <br />the day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the pro. <br />posed work and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No. H-16 and herein, <br />after herein described, or to the proposed grades at which said work and improvements are <br />to be done and made, could appear before the Board of Trustees of said Town of Redwood City <br />and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried out in accord- <br />ance with said Resolution of Intention No. H-16, or why said proposed work and improvements <br />should not be carried out and done at the porposed grades as shown on the plans, profiles <br />and specifications referred to in said Resolution of Intention No.H-16; and <br />WHEREAS, at the said day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution of Intention No.H-lE <br />and in the notices of the passage thereof posted as aforesaid when and where any and all <br />persons having any objections to the proposed work and improvements described in said Reso- <br />lution of Intention No. H-16, or having any objection to the proposed grades at which said <br />work and improvements are to be done and made, could appear before the Board of Trustees <br />of the Town of Redwood City and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should <br />not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. H-16; or why said <br />proposed work and improvements should not be carried out and done at the proposed grades as <br />shown on the plans, profiles and specifications referred to in said Resolution of Intention <br />No. H-16, the owners of certain property liable to be assessed for said work and improve- <br />ments made written objection to said work and improvements and said Board of Trustees did <br />proceed to hear said protest and objection and to fully consider the same and did thereafter <br />duly pass and adopt a Resolution determining that said protest and objections were not made <br />by the owners of a majority of the property fronting on the proposed work in improvements and <br />overruling said protest and objections, and said Board of Trustees now having acquired juris- <br />diction to proceed and order said work and improvements; <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience require the work <br />Ebw <br />All <br />
