<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present Trustees; -President G.W.McNulty,C.K.I'"Iabie,A.E.Monteith,
<br />H.A.Beeger,M.E.Ryan,City Clerk W.A.Price.
<br />Minutes of regular meeting held April 16th,1923,and regular adjourned meetin4eld April
<br />23rd and 30th.1923 were read and on motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Monteith,
<br />some be approved as read, Motion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Beeger,Supt.of Streets Dimmitt be given
<br />full power to act in the removal nf,tree in .talley off of Cleveland Street,Mbtion Carried.
<br />On motion of Trustee Mabie,seconded by Trustee Beeger,E.A.Fox be given permission to
<br />remove three' trees on State Highway near Whipple Avenue,with the understanding the larger
<br />one be replaced by a smaller tree of the same specie,same to be under supervision of the
<br />Supt.of Parks,Motion Carried.,
<br />On motion of Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Monteith, the Board accept the new fire
<br />alarm map presented by the Fire Department, and the City Engineer be instructed to prepare
<br />a large map to be hung up in the fire house,Motion Carried.
<br />Communication from the Gen.Geo.S.Evans Relief Corp inviting the Board to join with them
<br />in Memorial Day exercises on May 30th.1923.also asking for a donation towards securing a
<br />band fD +he ocassion was on motion of Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee Mabie,said
<br />invitation be accepted and the Board attend,also the Board donate the sum of 0 40.00 to-
<br />wards the payment of a band, Motion Carried*
<br />Moved by Trustee Mabie,secoz.ded by Trustee Ryan and carried the following dance permits
<br />be granted,to-wit;:
<br />Morvin Grove # 52,U.A.O.D.in Forester's Hall Saturday evening May 19th.1923 until 3 olclocki
<br />The Alumni of the High School in Forester's Hall ,Friday evening May 18th.1923,until 12,olclocka
<br />Redwood City Liberty Club in I.O.O.F.Hall Saturday evening May 13th#I923 until one, o1alockil-

<br />Trustee Mabie offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption,Trustee Monteith
<br />seconds the motion,Motion Carried.
<br />WHEREAS the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City are opposed to the formation
<br />of a Peninsula Development district until full surveys,investigations and estimates of cost
<br />have been secured.
<br />NOW therefore be it RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City that
<br />said Board goes on record as opposed to the Senate Bill No.447,as amended,now before the
<br />Legislature of the State of California and the Clerk of -said Board is hereby directed to
<br />telegraph to Assemblyman Eksward and Senator Johnson stating the position of the. Board on
<br />said bill.
<br />Report of the Ramlroad Commissioners covering various grade crossings over the main
<br />line of the Southern Pacific Company in the Town of Redwood City,was on motion of Trustee
<br />Beeger,seconded bjr Trustee Monteith and carried said report be received and filed.
<br />Moved by Trustee Ryan,secanded by Trustee Mabie, the Board concur with the Redwood
<br />Highlands Company in the improvements of certain streets outlaid by their letter and Map
<br />presented to the Board,,Motion Carried.
<br />Moved by Trustee Ryan,seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried,S.R.Chatfield be appointed
<br />Poundmaster,salary for same to be ? 40.00 per month,and to take effect May Ist.1923.
<br />Moved by Trustee Beeger,seconded by Trustee I%Ionteith,Supt of Streets and Water be allowed
<br />0 I00.00 for a reserve fund for use of the two department.I3otion Carried,
