Thorning,' <br />D.R. Stafford, G.VT- McNulty, E.M. Dearborn, City Clerk W. ,L. Price. <br />On motion of Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Thorning, minutes of meetings <br />held August 2nd and August 9th, 1926, be dispensed with until next regular meeting.' <br />Motion carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Dearborn, seconded by Trustee Stafford, further hearing <br />on the Phelps Street matter be laid over until Monday evening August 30th, 1926 <br />at 8 OXclock P.M. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Dearborn, the Chairman of the <br />Fire Committee, and Chief of the Fire Department, be authorized to purchase the <br />necessary Standard equipment, the best and at the cheapest price possible. <br />Motion carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Stafford, seconded by Trustee Dearborn, Fire Chief Ryan <br />be given the authority to take the old hand chemical engine over to the Shriner's <br />Park. Motion carrried. <br />On motion of Trustee Thorning, seconded by Trustee Stafford, the Clerk be <br />1 <br />instructed to purchase 250 feet of V2 inch fire hose at 70 cents per foot. <br />Motion carried. <br />Moved by Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Dearborn, Chief of Police <br />Collins, be authorized to purchase the siren now being demonstrated on his <br />car at price named, $17.00. Motion carried. <br />Communication from the Plaut Rubber & Asbestos Works, in regards to the i <br />charge of $50.10 for a air receiver tank, purchased by said Company from the <br />Cittc, be cancelled, was on motion of Trustee Dearborn, seconded.by Trustee <br />McNulty, the request be denied. Motion carried. <br />Application of the Peninsula Paving Co. for an extension of 60 days to <br />complete their contract improvement of Brewster Ave. and other streets under <br />Resolution of Intention No. H-10 was on motion of Trustee Dearborn, seconded <br />by Trustee McNulty, same be granted. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Trustee Dearborn, seconded by Trustee Thorning, the Supt. of <br />Mater, be authorized to dispose of all the old equipment, at the water works, <br />that he has no use for. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Stafford, seconded, by Trustee 1-1cNulty9 Mrs. Mary Demartini's <br />property situated on Arguello Street, be placed in the business zone. Motion <br />carried. <br />On motion of Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Thorning, the placing of <br />17ebster street, and Vlashington street from bridge to bridge in the fire zone <br />district be referred to the Planning Commission.
