<br />in said petition. That the whole number of registered votes in the territory or
<br />district described in said petition, as appears from the registration records of the
<br />County of San Mateo, State of California, said County of San Mateo, being the County
<br />in which the territory or district described in said petition is situated is sixty-
<br />eight.
<br />Trustee Stafford offers Ordinace No. 264, an Ordinance calling a Special
<br />Election in the Territory or Disttiet hereinafter in this ordinance described for
<br />the purpose of submitting and submitting to the qualified voters residing in said
<br />district the question or proposition, whether said hereinafter described territory
<br />shall be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the Town of Redwood City,
<br />a municipal corporation in the County of San Mateo, State of California, and moves
<br />its introduction. Trustee Dearborn seconds the motion. Motion carried.
<br />Communication from 11. ISI. O'Shaughnessy, regarding to the widening of the
<br />State Highway through the City, was on motion of Trustee McNulty, seconded by
<br />Trustee Dearborn, same -be received and filed and referred to the Planning Commission.
<br />Motion carried.
<br />Trustee Stafford offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption.

<br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING STREET ASSESSI,IFNT.
<br />VEMELS, the assessment for street work done under that certain contract
<br />dated the 12th day.of'November, 1325, between Hanrahan Company, a corporation, first
<br />party, and C, L. Dimmitt, as Superintendent of Streets of the Town of Redwood City, t
<br />as second party, for the doing of all street work mentioned and described in Reso-
<br />lution of Intention No. H-16, passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the
<br />Town of Redwood City on the 8th day of September, 1925, and now on file in the office
<br />of the Clerk of said Town of Redwood City, to which Resolution of Intention reference
<br />is hereby made for a_ description of said work, was filed in the office of said Clerk
<br />of the Town of Redwood City on the 28th day of July; 1926; and
<br />WHEREAS, said Clerk of the Town of Red,,rood City did thereupon fix Monday .the,
<br />16th day of August, 1926, at the hour of 8 o'clock P. It. of said day, at the Council
<br />Chamber of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City in the Town Hall on
<br />Webster street in said Town as the time and place of hearing on said assessment as
<br />required by law and as the time and place of making written objections thereto as
<br />provided for by the "Improvement Act of 1911"; and
<br />V7HEREASI notice of the filing of said assessment and of hearing thereon were;
<br />'duly given by posting, mailing and. publishing as required by law, as appears from ��IJ
<br />the affidavits thereof now on file in the office of the Clerk of said Town of
<br />Redwood City; and
<br />1`JHEREAS, at said time and place last herein mentioned no objections of any.
<br />kind were made to said assessment, and said Board of Trustees now having acquired
<br />jurisdiction thereon,
<br />The Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City do hereby resolve as
<br />follows: that the above mentioned assessment for street work done under Resolution
<br />of Intention No. H-16, hereinbefore mentioned, be and the same is hereby confirmed.
<br />PASSED AND adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City
