162 <br />Redwood City January 10th, 1927, 7.30 Oveloek, P.M. <br />Regular adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees Held. <br />Upon roll 4all there were present Trustees, Pres H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R.Stafford, <br />G.W.McNulty, E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk W.A.Priee. <br />On motion pf Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Stafford minutes of meeting held <br />January 3rd, 19270 be dispensed with until next regular meeting. Motion carried. <br />The follow;ng communication was received from the Redwood City Womans Club, to -wit: <br />P Redwood City,Calif, January 7,1927. <br />Mr W.A.Price <br />Redwood CiFty,Calif. <br />Dear Mr Price: <br />Your letter referring to the removal of the drinking fountain in front <br />of the grammar school received. <br />Your action meets with the unqualified approval of the Board of Direeto:?s. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Alice M. Forman. <br />Conspounding Secretary, <br />Redwood City Womans Club, <br />was on motion of Trustee McNulty seconded by Trustee Stafford same received and filed. <br />Motion carried. <br />Communication from Mr N.M.Ball asking for an extension of sixty (60) days.on <br />his contract for completion of the paving in Edgewood Park district, was on motion of <br />Trustee Dearborn seconded by Trustee McNulty said permission be granted. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Dearborn, seconded by Trustee Thorning the contract for sup- <br />pling the City with 8,500 ft of 8" DelLavaud cast iron water pipe and 227tees be awarded <br />to the United States Cast Iron Pipe and Fdy Cc they being the lowest bidder at the krioe <br />named in their bid $8512.40, also the oertfied checks be returned to the unseeoessful <br />bidders. Motion carried. <br />T)ie following report was received from the Redwood City Planning Commission <br />To -Wit: e <br />$t the meeting of the Planning Commission held Dec 13t4, 1926, the matter of <br />proposed street extensions was taken up for discussion and it is recommended to you that <br />the necessary steps be taken,to have <br />LL Carlos Ave extended through'L-to <br />connect with Orchard Ave* <br />Cypress St, be extended to connect <br />with Oakwood Blvd, East. <br />Street be extended to connect Kent - <br />field Ave, with Valota Road <br />Enclosed you will find blue print of -proposed extension <br />in detail, azkd we recommend immediate action be taken to carry out these proposals. <br />Yours very truly, <br />Redwood City Planning Commission <br />By F.K.Towne, Seoretaryo <br />was on motiozi of Trustee McNulty, seconded by Trustee Dearborn same be received and file:i. <br />Motion carried. <br />Application of A.L.Yoho of San Carlos for a permit to do Electrical contracting <br />in this City accompanied by the licence fee and bond was on motion of Trustee McNulty, <br />seconded by Trustee Dearborn said permit be granted. Motion carried. <br />On motion of,Trustee Stafford, seconded 'by Trustee Dearborn the City Attorney be <br />instructed to prepare a Resolution opposing the Spaulding Act proposition. Motion carrieO. <br />Trustee McNulty offers Ordinance No. 170, (An Ordinance annexing of North Fair <br />Oaks district) and moves its introduction, Trustee Stafford seconds the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Dearborn seconded by Trustee McNulty the City Attorney be inst- <br />ruoted to prepare necessary abatement proceedings at Hillcrest and St Francis Ave, est- <br />ablishing the radius from 50 ft to 25ft and that portion of the street to be abandoned. <br />Motion carried. <br />Moved by Trustee Dearborn, seconded by Trustee Stafford we do now ad <br />v <br />5 <br />�i <br />
